Skinner Slew Foot on Bergeron - Suspension Worthy?
We all know that Patrice Bergeron plays the game the right way and it takes a lot to get under his skin. With the Slew Foot by Skinner last night do you think that the league should issue a suspension to Skinner?

No. I dont even think it was a slew foot. He hits the back of Bergeron's thigh with his knee and then falls himself. I dont think his feet hit Bergeron's.
For several good examples of slew footing see: Marchand, Brad.

It wasnt dirty. It was aggressive though, and Bergeron answered it perfectly. Skinner got the message and took up valuable time while he SHOULD have been concentrating on helping his team. The Bruins won....
best revenge.

LOL Skinner does look like he's going to cry
I however like the fact more that you see Seguin skating over right after his goal to see what happened.
Seguin vs. Skinner in the future?

my first though was...."look at his face, he looks shocked that Bergeron responded".
I love that Seguin didnt celebrate his ENG. he went to help his teammate. That absolutely speaks volumes about this kid.

That's settled on the ice, as we know crying for suspensions or calling 911 doesn't solve anything.

It didn't "look" (granted I have only looked at it quickly) intentional or to even be a slew foot....so no.

There might be an argument if there was better evidence, but you really can't see what happened. The Bruins win, Bergeron is OK, and Skinner has a target on his back. That's plenty.

The linesmen should have let them go at it. I'm not sure it was intentional, but Bergeron was pissed. No suspension, this is still a mans game.

I don't think Skinner will get suspended nor should he. Was it cheap play, yeah and like most of said Bergy made him aware that he will be punished if he does that crap.

I think Skinner was just battling for body position, but it sure as hell looks like a slew foot at regular speed, and obviously *felt* like a slew foot to Bergy.
Personally am not lobbying for a suspension, but I hope Shanny takes a look at it and does the phone call hearing thing, at least to send a message to Skinner, maybe make him sweat a bit.

Can't tell from the video if it was dirty or not. But Bergeron clearly thought it was and I'll take his word for it.
NHL won't suspend Skinner because the evidence is inconclusive. The Bruins will kick Skinner's @$$ the next two times they play.

I hate the Canes... every one of them. Diving cheap crybabies.
That said, pretty sure they don't give suspensions to figure skaters in the NHL. Have Marchand punch him the face a few times. Problem solved.

Didn't look like Skinner did it on purpose. On the other hand, Bergeron certainly thought he did and it pissed him off enough to go at him.
Regardless.. it's definitely not suspension worthy. If Bergeron still thinks he did it on purpose the next time they meet, Skinner will pay on the ice. As it should be.
