That was one of the most ridiculously blatant and unnecessary interference penalties I've ever seen. Aucoin ought to sit in the second for it, it's that inexcusable. The fact that he argued it afterward just makes him look like a bigger idiot than he already does.

I only turned this on in the last three minutes of the first, but it really *****s me off that a team can play so hard one night, then come out 24 hours later and look like such an incompetent pack of retards. Boll trying to kick the puck off the boards while flailing around with his stick up over his shoulders, then diving to try to get a tripping call, leading directly to a goal. Mason leaping blindly in the direction of a screened point shot, leaving the entire left side of the net open. Everyone making feather passes out of our own zone which get picked off half the time. And the incomparable Aucoin penalty...

I'm yelling at my TV just watching a sliver of the period from home. If Richards is anything less than apocalyptic in the locker room right now, he doesn't deserve to be coaching high school hockey, let alone millionaire pros.

Once again, the failure of the offense to make plays and maintain possession puts too much pressure on the defense.

Do you hear that? That's hundreds of Minnesotans saying "I'm glad we got rid of that clown Richards! I KNEW he couldn't coach." Sadly, he probably doesn't deserve it.

We won't win many games going down 2-0 early constantly. Really sick of this trend...

Upon further review:

The second goal was no one's fault.

Nothing you can do about a bounce like that. Brassard was in the passing lane, Wiz was in the shooting lane and Mason was out cutting down the angle.

Umby gets a good rush into the zone... turns it over. No shot, no chance.

RJ is awesome at breaking up offensive chances. Just wish they weren't OUR offensive chances.

Um, I definitely fault Boll for trying to use his feet instead of his stick to dig the puck out on the boards. And then for dropping to the ice like he'd been shot and instantly surrendering the puck, in a fairly obvious attempt to draw a penalty. That led directly to the goal.

Your feet are far more effective along the boards. And if you are going to go that far back, what about the center that lost the face-off draw on the previous shift?

Not surprised at all by this game. Wild always get lucky bounces against us at home it seems.

Why is RJ playing so low on defense? Did we switch him to play center?
