Shows the Sonic Rings in Action:

http://www.sonicsarena.com/news/to-a...-gold-faithful

You can go to the link to embiggen the picture. Looks very cool and Very unique. I especially like the part where it looks like it extends out almost over the playing area.

hahaha Yeah that was great. Qwest Field is that way (no offense to the soccer guys, but come on man, Sounders have their fair share of hipsters)

Also love the Zombie Sonic fans. (creators of the Sonicsgate, that was their get up at the NBA championships in Miami)

Also, the man on the right appears to be having 2 beers simultaneously.

I always wonder who these people are...like if they are just licensed to be used in renderings and drawings, or they get new people...

I'm no expert on this (I just pretend to be one on the Internet) but I know that stock photos are generally taken with no idea who will later use them. Presumably, most of these sorts of images are simply purchased from stock photo companies.

These computer generated images somehow always do a good job of conveying the fan base. Look at the Wrigley renovation thread, their pics have typical ******* guys with backwards hats and Banks/Williams jerseys

That's hansen's goal to innovate how arenas look inside.

why is it everyone notices the hipster - who is a female BTW - but not the 2 insane clown posse fans in 2nd picture below the Sonics banner?

edit: ok I had no idea they were zombie Sonic fans.

Any photo uploaded to facebook can be used as stock photography.

As for the arena, standing room is definitely something that should be utilized more and it's good to see Seattle trying to be creative with it. Though I'd personally prefer to see standing sections closer to the playing surface like terraces at soccer stadiums.

That's actually not true. But it sounds scary, doesn't it?
