Meh, Gretzky would probably praise me if I banged his wife. "She told me he's a very tender lover".

Good to hear as a Sens fan! Gretzky has called a zillion guys the best. He is the king of hyperbole... but if he is this excited about Turris then it must be for a reason.

Watching Turris since he came to Ottawa he does have great hockey sense.

Gretzky is still saying that Fuhr is the best goaltender ever and Paul Coffey the 2nd best defenseman ever.

Crosby's the best, but Zetterberg is the best over 30?

Is he aware that Pavel Datsyuk is also over 30 and plays on the same team? I guess Teemu selanne and Jagr are the best (and only?)over 40....

Oh, and I just read that again. He thinks Zetterberg is the best Swedish player that's ever been in the NHL.You stay right there Mr. Gretzky. Some nice men with white coats and nets are going to take you butterfly hunting.

Looking strictly at playoff/tournament performance, Zetterberg has a legitimate case for best Swedish player of the 00s, but not all in all.

Yeah. Turris has the best hockey sense on the sens. He may not be top 3 in the league but he's definitely top 30. Gretzky exaggerates.

He's trying to sell the game, and it's current players.

Not hard to figure out.

What do you want him to say? No one is as good as I was? He'd be right.

If the game of hockey was never invented Gretzky would be a drywall finisher in Ontario.

Its OK to say that he was only really good at hockey you know.

you're pretty new to the sport if you haven't seen gretz pour some hyperbole onto his friends or teammates.

you should chuckle and smile when he does this. i'm sure he does at this point...

Just a little more impressive than a call from Trevor Linden.

I'd take Paulina Gretzky and her opinion boobs to be less biased than Waynes

The problem is you guys take things too seriously. Gretzky is the kind of guy who compliments everyone. When he says someone is the greatest, he doesn't necessarly mean he's the best player ever.

Gretzky was the stereotypical cherry-picker. Couldn´t dangle, couldn´t deke, could barely pull off a one-timer. Let him blab all he wants. He´s no Gordie Howe.

Have you seen Lisin skate before?

He's a bad player but he is FAST. Am I missing something?

I don't even think Zetterberg is in the top 3 Swedes of all time, let alone the greatest.

I think he "could" be label as one of the greatest Swed players. Guy was a 7th round pick that turned into a superstar. Great defensive mind and great offensive mind of the game. He also has so much hockey ahead of him. Not to bad to have a Conn Smythe on your resume either.
