It seems to me like Lavi could see his end. Not because he a bad coach (he's got his name on Lord Stanley's Cup after all), but because the team isn't playing hard. Every time I turn this on I'm not seeing passion I'm seeing work.
At this point yes...sick of the same crap over and over. I think he can be a good coach but at this point I'm not sure if he still has the locker room.
For the first time ever I'm closing in on a yes. Other than a handful of games so far this season the team has been painful to watch. Just seems too easy to stop the Flyers from doing what they want.

Seems pretty clear he doesn't have the room anymore. A change is needed. Still think he's a good coach, but his system has failed here.
A lot of teams in the league seem to be adapting defensive "block every shot" type systems, and those are the teams they always look the worst against. This isnt 2006 anymore, Lavy needs to adjust his system and figure out how to break through these defensive ones. What concerns me is he doesnt seem to get that...the only adjustments he has been making is changing the lines up.
I would like to see Rick Tocchet get a shot. I don't think we'd see any more half-ass'd play
I think that's a bit of a stretch though. I mean someone who is a legitimate candidate to be hired if laviolette Is fired, someone with coaching experience in the NHL.

The man won a Cup, so he has to have some kind of clue. Coaches run their course, though. Especially since it is so difficult to make a trade.
Won a Cup, came within two games of winning a second with our Flyers (not to mention the 0-3 Boston come back), Jack Adams runner up, coached USA during the Olympics, is currently contending with Tortorella to be USA's winningest head coach, he's won an AHL championship, he's won the AHL coach of the year award... but yea...
I'm sure someone else could do better with a team that has Ruslan Fedotenko and Maxime Talbot playing center and splitting time on the PK because there literally are no better options, Brian Boucher and Michael Leighton as their back-up goaltender, and a 30 something Kimmo Timonen playing through injuries because (again) there is no better alternative.

well said. if anyone should take the blame it's Holmgren for thinking Fedotenko was a good replacement for Jagr.
