Its a good thing to have a good relationship like that, because more often than not it leads to great on ice chemistry, which is the case for Fratts and Kadri.

That's the problem right there with LeafNation. News Flash it's impossible to play mistake free hockey that's why you have goalies to make saves when mistakes happen more times than not.
What the team needs to improve on is it's offensive cycle game, ironically it's this part of the game that kills them defensively more so than the defensive zone coverage. Forwards turn the puck over at times in the offensive zone late in the shift where it leaves the defensive posture of the team in a bad position where 1 good first pass tape to tape from the opposition the team suddenly finds it's self with 5 guys on a long shift, burning legs and hemmed in there own zone. They were better at it tonight and that's what was the BIG DIFFERENCE from tonights game compared to the NYR game.
Had the Leafs not blown out leads against the Islanders and the Rangers, we would have been top of the standings. A great win nevertheless talk about a buzzer beater!

Hopefully the Leafs can win their first home game of the season and Kessel can score on Thursday against the Caps. I can't see either happening against the Bruins. 3-1-0 to start the season on the road is pretty good especially with the goalies the Leafs have faced.
Anyone else starting to think that this team needs a top pairing defense way more than it needs a number one center? By next season, it wouldn't be far fetched to say we have JVR, Kulemin, Frattin, Lupul, Kessel and Macarthur as pretty decent top 6 wingers and Grabo and maybe Kadri/Bozak as top 6 centres.. We get enough goals, but don't really have a defensive identity. As much as people love the flash of a centerman leading the charge, I think that we need a defenseman much, much more.

Still think we need the C more. Would take pressure off the blueline if we could be more dominant in the other team's end as well.
