Must be what he meant, cause he can predict the future.

Our only real loss is Hartnell. Can't use injuries as an excuse in this case.
By having Mez out, it means we dress both Foster and Gervais....our # 7 and 8 D-men with Gus being #6...who has also been hurt. But I do agree that our real issue is our best players have under-performed. Maybe today is a sign of things to come.

Whoa whoa, pump the brakes. Gervais is playing alright for what he is. I should have said Kurtis Foster. Lilja is only in the minors now because Gus is back. Though I do agree that losing Mez shouldn't cause that many problems in and of itself. But it doesn't help matters any.

I'll be cool if we can play the Islanders every game. Sadly, it was only the Islanders they blew out and not somebody like Boston. Hopefully this is a spark but the 7-1 win over Florida didn't do too much for them.

Gervais has played like the mediocre #7 defender he is, but he's getting an inflated amount of even strength minutes because he's one of only defenders on the roster who can skate. Now that Gustafsson is healthy, I expect Gervais to go back to limited minutes, or none at all.

I know +/- isn't the greatest stat, but Gervais has yet to have a + game this season. Not one.

To Phi: kopitar, voynov

To LA: Giroux, 2nd

Why not? Philly west could use a shakeup and LA east could use a good puck moving d man and a good center to replace giroux.

What's Up With the Flyers?

Bryz gives up 3 goals on 5 shots...in what? about 5 minutes? ...granted the one that came off Couturier's brutal turnover wasn't his fault.

What's up with the Flyers this year. On paper they're a good team. I thought they'd be one of the best teams in the East ... and now it looks like they'll struggle to make the playoffs.

Awful defense and Awful goaltending.. I wouldn't blame this game on Bryz.. but, he's just not cutting it.

Getting smoked by Boston right now. Luckily you get a team who gave up this exact lead two or three nights ago to a worse team

On behalf of Kings fans, please stop. It's embarrassing reading your proposals.

They don't play defense. And it isn't just their blueliners. Their forwards can't be bothered to backcheck.

How about this.

The flyers are getting their cunnies whipped by a superior team.

Bad defense, bad goaltending?

It's like watching Ron Wilson hockey when he was with the Leafs but the Flyers just have a very DEEP offense and could actually out gun other teams.

How are they a good team on paper? Their top defenseman is a fading 37 year old. Bryzgalov is improved but still hardly the goaltender they were expecting... and then sent away a competent backup. They replaced Jagr and JVR with Ruslan Fedotenko and Mike Knuble. Perhaps a few guys - such as Briere and Couturier - are underproducing, but I don't see this as a team that should be one of the best in the East. Not by any measure.

This. There is absolutely no defensive structure or communication.

Defense, goal-tending, coaching and Giroux hasn't been as good as he was last year.
