There it is. No doubt in my mind Bourque is a talented guy. His size is killing him.

Is he getting an extended shot b/c of who his Dad was? Possibly. Considering what his father did for me as a fan, if that's the case, I can live w/ that until they find someone better.

Getting to watch #77 from age 18 to eventually mature into the 2nd best defenseman to ever play, got me through a lot of otherwise unbearable years as a Bruins fan.

If someone made fun of that nose and that guy missed a shot that could have won the game and I made one that won the game I would have rubbed it in too.

I agree.
3rd line is really struggling. I thought Peverley looked frustrated at times tonight as he was the only one up to speed.
Since Campbell and Paille has been looking good and are generally looked upon as serviceable 3rd liners; I'd go with a line of Paille-Campbell-Peverley and a 4th of Mcdermid-Kelly-Thornton for the Buf game.
Ride the hot hand and add some hungry grit in the shape of McD.

I'm not seeing why everyone wants to split up KHL, once Seguin gets going that second line will be fine KHL goes beast mode on the forcheck and gives the team a lot of energy and mo.

There line was the best in the league for the first 5 weeks of our cup year don't people remember this when they are on they are one of the scariest top end lines in the league.

If we really wanted our third line to have a boost try this bottom 6
Paille-Spooner-Pevs
Soupy-Kelly-Thornton

Brad Marchand scores on his first-ever shootout attempt. I didn't know that.

so it Borque the main problem with the 3rd line not the other players.I think Tyler is going to come around playing with Bergy and marchand he has no choice. The Bruins have a real good top 4 group of defenseman. I glad we seeing a healthy Horton.
Rask has been reaaly good and looks ready to lead this team going make some $

So now he is 100% on his shootouts. Julien should try him a little more in shootouts-he seems to have a touch.

I loved Marchand's response to Clarkson. No better time to return volley after someone initiated **** talk to you then when you score a goal in a skills competition that the other guy just failed at.

some stuff I saw

Highs:
KHL line - Seem to be the only line getting it done other than the 4th line
Dougie Hamilton - Looks solid so far except a few rookie mistakes
Aaron Johnson - Has played well so far good 7th defenseman
Dennis Seidenberg - Our #2 defenseman and without him we struggle
PK - 1/24 ain't too shabby

Lows:
Bourque - Waste of a 3rd line spot hope they bring up someone. Macdermid for Thursday?
PP - Horrible it's like a passing clinic it takes a rookie to shoot it
Ference - Has been horrible, the worst defenseman so far on this team
2nd Line - They have not got in sync yet hope it happens soon

I think the lines problems aren't just Borque, but I also don't think Borque looks to be a solution for the line either.

I think Julien and the front office need to consider trying somebody else there.

Definitely stole those two points, very ugly win. On the 2nd game of back to backs, I'll give the team a bit of a pass.

I've been rooting so hard for Bourque to succeed...but it's just not happening. The 3rd line has been useless. Caron didn't earn it with his play in the AHL but when he's healthy, that spot is easily his. Too bad they couldn't spend Thomas's $5 million to get a rental at the deadline...

The PP is a joke...still, they need to bring someone in who knows what the hell they're doing. Too much talent on the ice for it to be that bad. Dougie is a step in the right direction at least.

They can still spend Savards four million though.

That puck Bourque let get through the point on the PP late in the game was the last straw for me.

Absolutely agree. There is no excuse for how awful the PP looks and it was pretty clear the Devils weren't too worried about defending on the PK.

I think it's going to get ugly.

But buffalo is going to find out that's to our benefit, not theirs.

People are way to hard on Bourque. Some cases he's just getting robbed. I would understand people crapping on him if his line mates were scoring but Pevs and Kelly are no where to be seen on the scoresheet.

Just in from the game .

Tuukka looked excellent..yet again

I think it was Clarkson who was making fun of Marchy's nose...Brad had the last laugh with that winning goal in the shootout. He went by the NJ bench with a smile ...Not sure if he had something to say as well.

Seggy with 2 shootout goals ??

The B's looked like they had lead legs tonight. Perhaps they should take a day to rest tomorrow.

They haven't played perfect games but I can not complain about the results.

Good Night B's fans

Seriously though, I think it is too harsh to say Bourque is not an NHL player.

He is playing hard and he keeps up and doesn't make glaring mistakes or wimp out.

But, unfortunately, so far he has not contributed much personally, and I haven't seen him do anything that makes his linemates better players.

So at some point he needs to watch a game or two from above and get some perspective.

No hate here - I wish he scored every shift. But he can't buy a goal, or seemingly, a good scoring chance.

Does Caron make the third line better though? MacD even? Bourque is doing what he can. He's trying. Kelly and Pev aren't playing like they normally would either. I think most the hate on him is unwarrented.

There's a special place in hell reserved for that "fan" who threw that on the ice on a B's shot attempt.

Moron.
