Last year it was only a few weeks before the festival, so likely not for about 4 months.

They have the days up now. And once again, it looks like Saturday is by far the weakest day. Its a pretty smart strategy by them. Gets people from out of town to go all 3 days if they only like the 2 strong days.

Where does it show who's on which days?

In the link a little higher up. The columns are days. At least thats how it was last year. Thats why the top of each column is a headliner.

It's the best weekend of the summer so you have every right to be giddy.

Does avenged have a drummer yet? Or is Mike Portnoy still filling in?

Mike Portnoy left Dream Theater a while ago to permanently join Avenged Sevenfold (who haven't put out a good album since Waking The Fallen, IMO).

EDIT: Apparently I remembered incorrectly. They don't have a permanent drummer yet.

Even though I do like a bunch of these bands to me avenged sevenfold at the top of the list screams last minute replacement. Rumour is that a headliner backed out at the last minute and that's why they couldn't announce the lineup on time. Really disappointed black sabbath isn't there.

I really wish Bluesfest would book some proper Electronic dj's rather than skrillex who's on his 3rd tour @ Bluesfest...

John Digweed would be brilliant.

I personally think the line up is pretty weak this year and that's not due to there being less EDM.

I like all types of music.

Just not big on the lawnchair lineups.

Booking Tommy Trash is huge. He has some brilliant productions and his shows are great.

As for Digweed, check Phase 2 of Escapade. I wouldn't be surprised to see him at Escapade Music Festival since they have a dedicated tech house stage. Already have some great bookings, I'm all over the Mark Knight special 2.5hour set they have him booked for!

Must be a matter of taste. I find this year's Bluesfest lineup is vastly superior to last year's. Both for me, less EDM is one of the factors. Having Flogging Molly, Bjork, Tragically Hip, Jimmy Eat World, BB King and the harpoonist & the axe murderer also makes a big difference. Can't wait.

And also The Specials, The Waterboys, Belle & Sebastian, Sharon van Etten. It's a very solid line-up covering all bases. Never been so excited about Bluesfest.

You also might be getting older

I'm 29 now and I just don't get excited about shows anymore

I'm not sure if that should bother me though...

Just a couple new shows. I was listening to the Bear yesterday afternoon when they announced KISS for July 25th (I think?) at Scotiabank Place. No details yet though.

Also not sure if anyone is into them, but Titus Andronicus is playing Mavericks on May 1st, got my ticket for that already!

Sad news
Thoughts and prayers go out to Jay Smith's family and to Matt Mays. Jay Smith was a guitar player in Matt Mays band who died after the show in Edmonton this week.

On a happy note I just bought 2 tickets today to the Eagles.
