We need to make our tweets, comments on TSN, Sportsnet and radio call-ins all about wanting the superstar refs autographed sweaters, how great it is to go to the games to watch them, why we need a referee Hall of Fame etc... Who needs to talk about the players when you have such knowledgeable and skilled refs to watch. If none of us talk about the players or the game maybe the league will get the message.

At least they both get a penalty.
How many penalties can we get in a game??
Both sort of lame penalties.

Couldn't disagree more -- I'm glad to see a referee take control of a game.
That being said, I missed the first 17 minutes, so I don't know what happened before then.

So pathetic how MTL gets away with the same interference that Phillips did and there are no calls.

It's like they replaced the refs with Jasper from the Simpsons

I'll comment on whatever I please, particularly when my comment was on an infraction I saw. Thanks though.

There's a definite decrease in how entertaining hockey is for both teams when there are a lot of penalties in a game. Continuously stopping the play completely ruins the flow of the play. The refs really need to tone it down.

I think that Phillips call was the most pathetic one.
The others were ok. But they are calling a lot of stuff.
Still that type of "interference" bugs me. Fine, call it more -- but finishing a check... oh let it go.

Sens 1 Refs 1 after 1
Great game but I'm not sure these refs can win this one tonight they are not as good as the ones in Tampa.
