Phillips needs to adjust. When other players do it its much more subtle, Phillips isn't subtle whatsoever when he does the same interference, he always comes off as so blatant.

A fight in the first couple of minutes will often result in a ton of penalties. Hopefully the refs settle down because I don't like the Sens odds if they have to kill 9 penalties tonight.

Someone needs to tell the refs that the Habs won't retire their jerseys.

If the players target Markov it would end the Habs slim playoff chances and likely give them a very good 1st round pick in the next draft. I don't know if we like them that much. The refs on the other hand...

I'd rather not have us "targetting" players. It will just lead to more penalties for us.

Instead, lets just continue our fast paced game, and deal with the penalties we will get.

Can't comment without seeing them, just like you recommended.

Still have no problem with the double interference penalty. Refs need to get a grasp on their game before yet another game descends into pointless head-hunting like they always do.

Man the refs are really ****ing us right now. That Phillips call was utterly terrible, as was the Neil call. Other than that I have no problem with the refs. The Neil instigator was a good call as was the Turris slashing. The coincidental penalities on Boro mean nothing to me so its not addressed.

Fun game so far, aside from all the weak penalties. Ive got a good feeling about this one, Im thinking EK turns the jets on and puts on a show for the second and third.

I definitely agree with above.

The Neil "roughing" call and the Phillips call were lame. But otherwise, they were the right calls.

Either way, we need to stop taking so many penalties! And start drawing them!

Maybe but why don't they call against MTL?

Good to know a fan of a neutral division rival sees things as we do, it lends legitimacy to our complaints that a fan of neither team, but a divisional rival of both agrees with us.

Peace.

If you are talking about the one where he shoved the guy on the PP, then Neil should not be doing that crap. Don't care if the guy went down easy or not. If Ottawa is on the PP they don't need to be fooling around near the bench.

Oh please, give me a break. I'm an Ottawa fan as well but the refs are not especially bad tonight and certainly not biased.

Yeah, I agree. Neil should know that with his reputation, the refs aren't going to give a damn. If he does anything borderline, he's going to get a penalty.

His reputation? You mean that he plays the game hard but clean, and has never been suspended? I think you have Neil confused with Matt Cooke.
