JVR - Turris

Both top 5 2007 draft picks, both started their career off slow, both dealt to a new team afterwards.

5 games in and both are around a PPG pace, who ends the season with more points?

Homer in me says Turris, it could be fairly close though.

This is as close to a coin toss as it can get.

JvR will be play on the first line instead of MacArthur, I think he's in for a huge night tomorrow if he can click with Kessel.

You mean JVR. The Leafs weren't convinced until they saw him play this season. The Sens have been behind Turris since he got to Ottawa.

I think JVR will take a little longer to hit his full potential, but he'll be a good fit on the Leafs.

I was a big advocate for this trade before it became acceptable on the Leafs board.

Different skill sets really.

For this year, Turris.

No offense but isn't what you said the exact same thing? Ottawa wasn't convinced of Turris until they saw him play on their team, and Leafs fan weren't convinced of JVR until they saw him play on their team? Why would they be behind JVR last year if he had no link to their team?

JVR was hardly noticeable in his first couple games. Then he followed those up with some great games, finishing checks, going to the net, skating hard.. Scores a few goals.

Last night he's moved on to the Kessel line and he's invisible.

I voted JVR regardless because I just don't believe in Turris at all, but he needs to be be much more consistent.

Leaf fan here taking Turris. I love JVR, but I think it may take him a bit to find himself on this team. Will be close though

You misunderstood the post he was quoting...the other guy was saying this poll was made simply because turris had a good start... When in reality turris is continuing what he started last year whereas jvr is the one with the hot start on a new team. If you agree with the guy you posted no need to quote him. But he was definitely not in agreement with the guy he quoted. It's not the same thing at all.
