Leier gives the Tigers a 2-1 lead on the PP with 12 minutes left in the 2nd period.

Certainly hope they can win this game and not start hanging their heads over trailing.

The Oil Kings don't want to wait until OT. Reinhart gives them a 3-2 lead and now they're going to the PP very late in the 3rd.

Game over. Samuelsson iced it with an empty netter. 4-2 Oil Kings, moving on to the 3rd round.

Huge win for the OK's. They didn't let the SH goal affect them the wrong way and they battled it out.

Get ready to be rocked, Calgary.

The two playoff series' coming up are going to be incredible. Portland and Edmonton are favorites but both teams are going to be in tough. I think Kamloops has a serious chance of upsetting Portland if Smith comes back. It's amazing they've dominated without their two best players (Bozon is injured also). Calgary and Edmonton is a relatively even matchup assuming CGY closes their series out. Should go at least 6 games, I still expect the Oil Kings to win though.

My bold prediction is a Kamloops - Edmonton final. Good chance to watch Kale Kessy if anyone hasn't been already.

Calgary worries me. I've seen a few their matchup this year and the Oil Kings did not look good against them. Hope our experience comes through....

It'll be OK for the OKs. They've been building for this.

The Oil Kings remind me of the 80's Oilers in that they didn't really care about the regular season; a team built entirely for the playoffs.

They've been saving their energy for the long CHL playoffs.

Last year the OK were a puck possession team, that's how they beat teams, by controlling the play. When they didn't, they had trouble. (Portland and the Mem Cup.)

This year, while they still control the puck for majority of the game, when they don't have it, they can do a dump and chase, and grind it out.

The team that actually scares me the most is Kamloops because they have some depth that Calgary and Portland doesn't.

Gonna be a good time. I hope this won't end the same way our first playoff series with Calgary went.

I really think this series could be shorter than we think. The OKs have built for these playoffs, adding key pieces (Cheek, Musil and Samuelsson) for the playoff run. I'm picking the OKs in six, but it could go five. Or seven , but taking the Oil Kings.

Samuelsson was with us last year for the playoffs - 17 gp, 4g-10a-14p while looking like a beast. So far this year, with his less overall less than impressive play, he's scored 6-5-11 in 9 games . If he decides to go into beast mode that he is capable of doing, look out Hitmen!
