I wish the Hitmen wouldn't feel the need to get dirty when they're on the losing side of a big score.

I'm so looking forward to Friday's game. Let's support these boys and fill the place.

Was nobody else watching on Shaw TV? It's been a black screen for me since the end of the 2nd.

Must have been a digital cable thing. On satellite it was fine.

I hope that Musil and Sautner are alright. After the Reinhart injury we can't afford to have them out of the line-up.

Speaking of Sautner, that might have been the best game that I've ever seen him play. A game winning goal, solid D and two gutsy blocks without his stick on that Hitmen PP late in the 3rd.

At least one team in Edmonton can play competent hockey.

I'm not sure what those Shaw commentators were talking about when they were saying that Rexall was quiet for the first two games. The first game, yeah, but I was at Game 2. It was a good crowd and it was loud.

I agree. The game 2 crowd was behind the boys all the way.

Just a couple of thoughts on the game tonight. Moroz looked awesome, cutting to the net with a vengance on several occasions, one of which led to an Ewanyk garbage goal.

Gernat looks like a million bucks in the offensive zone and on most of his breakout passes, but it seems he makes about one weird descision per period that leads to a solid scoring chance for the opposition.

Lowe really showed up tonight. Very impressed with his overally game. 'Canes have a super prospect in him.

Sautner showed some serious balls on that PK blocking two consecutive shots. Hope he's good to go for Friday.

Mayo looked very calm and collected in the game, especially given that he's 16. Oil Kings seem to have a solid guy going forward in him.

Overall a great game for the Oil Kings. Key players came out and played for keeps. Hopefully will be in house for game 5. Considering it's a Friday game the place should be packed (relatively of course) and rocking.

@evandaum: Griffin Reinhart will not be back for Game 5 according to Laxdal. Doesn't mean the Oil Kings won't get Corbett back. Remains to be seen.

He was the only minus player in the Oil Kings' lineup tonight.

The Oil Kings have dramatically outshot the Hitmen in this series and while I do think that they are the better team, the Hitmen have more individual skill, more one shot scorers. Seriously, even though we were up by multiple goals tonight, every time the Hitmen brought the puck into the OK's zone and unleashed a shot I feared that it would end up behind Brossoit.

Had no problems either, I was surfing back and forth between the Oilers and OKs. Way better game tonight than last night.

I haven't been impressed with Lowe this series, I had heard he was much improved this year and I haven't seen it much. Reminds me of how he played in the Mem cup last year which was not good. In saying this I did not see the complete game as I was switching back and forth.

I haven't watched the Hitmen play any other clubs besides the Oil Kings this year but a lot of individuals on that club seem to make things happen on their own. Out of nowhere.

Lowe's offensive game took a significant upward tick this season but outside of that not much has changed about his game.

Not true at all. He has improved in every facet of the game. I used to cringe when he would come on the ice last year and this year he is on our top shutdown pairing. He has improved immensely.

Lately, in this series in particular, he is regressing back to that undisciplined player who took stupid penalties by the bucket full at the beginning of the year.

This is probably the wrong place for this but…

Not only was there a goalie fight, there was a backup goalie fight

I know you watch a lot of WHL hockey and I like read your updates and comments on each game, but were you drinking last night or just kidding around with that comment?

Hah. I did have a few, um, cocktails last night but I'll stick with the comment for the most part. I'm really impressed with certain individuals on the Hitmen. They have lots of dangerous one shot scorers (that's not to say we don't... obviously).

Our forwards are just as dangerous as are the Hitmen.

That team last night was the OKs team that didn't show up in the first three games. Finally, they now seem like they want this championship series.
