After they get eliminated, maybe Colorado will reconsider picking him first.

Lets see if they can make Jones look bad enough to drop him around seven spots.

If the OK's show up at their best all series, it should be a war.

Not mentioned but how did Macek not score there with the puck just laying there and all he had to do is sweep it in and he misses it. Wow, thats going to be relived in his mind like forever. One as a player that you wish they didn't have the replay of.

Kings get the win but made it a lot harder than it needed to be while Portland is resting.

Wow, tight schedule. If this does go all the way last 3 games will be played on fumes. Travel and zero recover time.

He was unreal tonight, especially in the first period where, for a while, he seemed to be the only OK playing the game like it was a game 7.

Sometimes the rest just gets you off the game, at least early in the series. OK have a real chance at a Game 1 steal here.

One of the most intense game I have been to in a while. Proud of the boys they game out of the game sloppy, but got a lot better during the game.

Musil- I t was by far with no doubt his best game as an Oil king. He was a defensive machine tonight and he was rushing the puck pretty good tonight.

Ewanyk- His was a solid pker tonight with some important blocked shots late in the game. I was also impressed with him in the dot tonight. But who knows maybe I am being a homer.

Moroz- He was making some solid hits and wasn't a hazard on the ice tonight. I was happy with him in his energy role.

Gernat- He did nothing to really make him sick out in a good way or bad way.

Lazar- Was a machine creating chances all over the ice loved his game tonight. If he keeps on playing this way we might be picking him in the 7th spot. I left impressed with him tonight like most nights.

Samuelsson- Was a liability on the ice tonight was not taking smart penalties and ended up with 4 penalties.

St.Croix- He lived up to his job of being the offensive guy on the team.

LB- Was rock solid make the saves when it counted and lead his team to the victory.

Foster- Was skating around the ice very good tonight and did a solid job on the pk.

Wruck- I personally left the game wanting more from him.

Kulda- Did a good job tonight created chances and did his job as an energy guy well.

Legualt- I thought he had a solid game did nothing wrong that stuck out and got an assist.

Benson, Baddock, and Bert- I am pretty sure they didn't even touch the ice at all, but if I am wrong please correct me.

Sautner- Played well in his own zone and left happy with his game.

Corbett- Did well getting the puck out of the zone and didn't do any bad in his own zone.

Mayo- Every game that he plays he gets better. Was impressed with him handle the puck well.

Lowe- He was the defenceman I left the least impressed with. I think his problem is he is trying to do too much for what they are needing him to do. I think he was lucking Musil was there to vacuum up his mistakes tonight. He did say a goal late in the game.

Powerplay was invincible tonight. Got to give Calgary credit for that. Their PK was too aggressive for our PPers.

PK. Was outstanding all game. Ewanyk and Lazar make critical blocks late in the game to help out.

I think LB has to have no weak games and our PP to wake up for us to win the series against Portland.

Oil Kings in 7

There are my thoughts on the game.

Sick game by the Kings. I would say ~10 500 at Rexall for this one, so I gladly eat my words.

St. Croix was awesome tonight. He and Lazar were the best players on the ice. Rangers have a huge steal in him.

Samuelsson took waaaayyy too many penalties. Something like 3 slashing infractions and one roughing penalty.

Game 1 goes Friday in Portland. Hopefully the Oil Kings can get the jump on the Hawks in the series with the shorter lapse between series' for them.

I think they will pounce early on Portland.
I wish the Oil Kings would organize a fan trip to support the Oil Kings in Portland, but I doubt it would get enough people.

Nice write up monkeywrench.
I agree about Musil, without him this the game could be completely different.

Congrats to the Oil Kings. Pulled out a gutty performance under extraordinary circumstances. Lots of team first performances from most of the guys.

St Croix was clutch.

Samuelsson I just dont get. All he had to do was just play clean and not take a penalty, so what does he do? Takes a penalty in the neutral zone with 2min left. Stupid doesnt even begin to describe it.

Real selfish player.

Dont expect much next series. Too many injuries to key guys. Pretty sure Corbett is playing on one leg. Just cant skate like he used to before he got hurt.

Oh yeah, Calgary sucks!
