As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I've been dealing with a series of family crises, further complicated by an auto accident that left my car totaled.
I've given up the xbox to some younger family members--thus the reason I've randomly appeared online--but I choose not to renew my xbox live gold subscription before I did--I think it runs out next week.
Wish you guys all the best with this and the other league.
since this league is pretty much dead want to start a new one? with new people who would actually be active?

I'm bumping this because of these posts.
I feel like I've got to carry some of the blame for letting this thing go.
As I mentioned above in February--a lot of it was beyond my control: a major car accident sort of left me without the time or resources to play a video game, so when when a younger family member asked to borrow my xbox, I gave it to them. They've since bought their own, so I've gotten mine back.
This league had a very good base, and if people were interested in launching something like it (a hybrid play-sim structure, a limited number of trades (but far less commissioner oversight), etc., I'd be game. I wouldn't want all of the restrictions that Saw put in place--they were well-intentioned, but I think they led to more drama than they were worth. There are new rosters out (April 22), so that would be an added benefit.
The key is to find the happy medium between a balanced, realistic league (which requires some rules) and too much control / restriction (which creates more drama than a video game should).
If anyone is interested, send me a P.M. or post here. If we get a critical mass (15-20), then we can move on it.
