Komarov

This guy is terrible. If he were a North American player they wouldnt even have looked at this guy.

Send him back to the KHL .

I actually don't really like him either. Stone hands, but he's better than any replacement we have for him so why not.

Leads the team in hits. Probably better suited for the fourth line along side McClemment in a penalty killing and checking role.

Just a question: instead of posting a something that lacks any thought -- why not use some facts and examples to highlight your point. If you have one. "This guys is terrible" is only a reflection on you.

You should give valid reasons why he is terrible. What did he do in particular that made you feel that way?

He was brought over to hit and get under people's skin, both of which he has done extremely well. He leads the team in hits with almost 4 per game and he has done a great job getting under the others team skin and drawing penalties, shown by the double minor that he drew just last night.

If you were expecting him to be putting up 50+ points in a full season your expectations were off. This guy was not brought here to score.

This.

He opens a LOT of room on the ice, goes to the corners, kills penalties, and will likely be a useful piece for years to come. Sandpaper, that's his game.

He hasn't been terrible nor a liability but I haven't seen what the hype surrounding him is all about in terms of being a pest.

He made some frustrating plays yesterday, like fanning on the shot when Miller was out of position and then failing to clear the puck shortly after that, leading to Pominville's goal.

But he's definately not been terrble, I think he's been pretty decent.

I think the OP is a stat-watcher who doesn't actually watch games. Either that or doesn't understand the job of role players.

He's not what I was expecting. There isn't a lot of energy to his game. He finishes his checks, and has not been a liability, so I suppose I'm happy with him so far... but most of his hits are pretty tame, and he hasn't done anything to distinguish himself in my eyes yet.

The way he was described before his arrival, I was expecting more of a mean, feisty, up-tempo style of play from him.

But I do think he belongs on the roster.

Hes not been a liability 5 on 5 and our PK looks better than the previous few years with him on it , I not looked at the stats as its too early to judge tbh.

Hes also only 6 games into his NHL career and he actually wanted to be here, he could have stayed in the KHL easily, so I hope he succeeds as tough and cheap 3rd/4th line guys win cups (optimisium gone wild I know )

I don't know any NHL players named Komorov.

But you're surely not talking about Toronto Maple Leafs winger Leo Komarov, who has been doing EXACTLY what he was brought in to do.

Player is a dime a dozen , we do not need to scour Europe for this.

No offensive capabilities or history of such. Not sold on his defensive game either (see poor clearing play which led to Buffaloes 2nd Goal ).

Yes he finishes his checks and moves well out there and he has a reputation of being a Rat.

Ryan Hamilton or Carter Ashton could easily play his role at this time , however since he is from Russia you are all fooled that he is "a big find " .

I apologize for calling him terrible - he is an average player at best.

Him being from Russia doesn't have anyone more/less excited.

He's been playing well.

Big Fail!! You are talking about my favorite Leaf right now. Just loved his game last night....finishing his checks, going to the net. Just needs to finish better. Remember he and Kessel are tied in goals scored...not being sarcastic, just pointing out that a team has many components. He is exactly as advertised....he irritates the opposition, just like your post does to me.
