Ok, we can't lose to the Oilers, and we shouldn't unless we get undiciplined

I'm expecting a Ballard hip check.
He seems to always have one against the Oilers.

I'm starting to have a good feeling about this season. We've started shaking off the rust and are playing like a solid playoff team, and that's while missing our 2nd line. When Kesler and Booth come back, I think we'll be the best team in the league.

Hate to predict another blowout but it's the only thing I envision happening. Especially in edmonton,

9-0 Canucks

1st period

0:08 Kassian (Tanev HSedin)
10:01 Schroeder (Ballard Raymond)
19:52 Schroeder (Burrows Garrison)

2nd period

0:09 Bieksa (DSedin Kassian) pp
10:02 Lapierre (Volpatti Malhotra)
19:53 Schroeder (Hansen Higgins)

3rd period

0:10 Hansen (Edler Burrows) sh
10:03 DSedin (HSedin Kassian)
19:54 Raymond (Tanev Ballard)

Start Lu again and get him the win we robbed him of last time. Besides if the Habs shell Anderson. Lu could move closer to first and I want to see that. It'd be fun to toss around Vezina in the trade board.

I'm feeling much the same way, and we'll all be feeling pretty comfortable if we win De Six-Two-Two.

still too many MIA

Higgins - Where you at?
Bieksa - Where you at?
Manny - Where you at?

Sedins score one each and Eberle replies, so 5-1 Vancouver.

Luongo gets the start Monday. I think the Canucks are gonna win by a close game 3-2 OT.

Those Chicago forwards look ridiculous in hindsight. Was hard to admit at the time, but nearly impossible to top what they had up front.

If I were Edmonton I would trade for as many of their Cup-winning bottom-six forwards as possible. And they already have one!

Hall - RNH - Eberle
Yakupov - Gagner - Hemsky
Brouwer - Horcoff - Versteeg
Eager - Fraser - Kopecky
Belanger
Burish
Smyth

I might be alone on this but I see a lot of people slotting in Weise as the 15th forward and think he's been one of our better bottom sixer's. He hits, he fights, he's improved his quickness skating and overall playing ability. I'd rather keep him in the lineup.

If Luongo is starting, I hope Yakupov lights him up and scores a double hatty

1. I like Yakupov and would like to see another Yakubration
2. Schneider gets to start the next game and we don't get to hear all the whining

Obviously no downside in this scenario at all....

I agree. I think this should be our line-up fully healthy.

Sedin Sedin Kassian
Booth Kesler Burrows
Raymond Schroeder Hansen
Malhotra Lapierre Weise
Higgins, Volpatti

Fantasizing about depth...

In a perfect world we acquire a 3rd line centre in the mold of Chris Kelly, a one shot threat ala Michael Ryder, and a number one defenseman that's dependable in all situation and not susceptible to injury... think Zdeno Chara and we're set.

but seriously, someone that can score a goal out of nowhere would be nice

What, like the whining you are doing right now? I like Luongo, but that doesn't mean I root for Schneider to have bad games.

After a nice two day break, they should come out strong against the Oilers.

What whining?

Was it really necessary to add apart from the Yakubration part

Would love a big night from the Twins. Multi-point nights for each of them would be great. Hank is only 4 points away from the franchise scoring mark, too.

Sensing this one could get a little rough, actually. Too bad Ben Eager's not playing to hand us a few PPs.

I don't see any reason Malhotra or Weise should play ahead of Higgins, especially Malhotra. Even a struggling Higgins has been better offensively and defensively.

I wouldn't be opposed to scratching him to send a message, but I assume these lines are more long-term than that.

I'd like to see.

Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
Burrows - Kesler - Hansen
Raymond - Schroeder - Booth
Higgins - Lapierre - Weise/Malhotra

I like the idea of having one line (that second line) being unquestionably dynamite, and Booth being enough of an upgrade on Weise, playing the third guy rather than be a focal point of the line. I could see that 3rd line being one where Schroeder simply plays puck distributor, getting the puck to places where Raymond/Booth can break in. (I don't like the size limitations of a Raymond - Schroeder - Hansen line, personally. From what I've seen, I don't think that line needs too much more help in the defensive zone-- they need a guy who can drive to the net, free up room, and create room for them. (which is what Weise has been more or less trying to do on that line)

I could see Higgins being a big help to a guy like Lapierre (the way he was a huge help to Kesler's tunnel-vision)

Maybe the Caps want to see Lu play a few more games (aside from Lu being on a roll)?
