So Iggy for 1st +Khok+ Krug, Gio for Knight + 2nd?

I think we can get more for Gio and Boston doesn't have that kind of cap space long term, it would make Iggy solely a rental and lower his value to them.

Well we could take Boychuk in the deal and possibly add if that helped cap wise

It seems like everyone is hyping up Khokhlachev, Krug, and Knight. I know they're skilled prospects, but they are also very small. I have nothing against small players, but it would be nice to start emphasizing skill/size. Lets face it, teams are getting bigger... (Boston, LA, Vancouver, etc.) I just don't want a top 6 full of midgets in the future. I want that tough, hard to play against mentality.

You could swap him with Morin but I like Hayes size and game.
Flames are highly unlikely to utilize the amnesty buyout. It's not their style.

Not many big prospects, particularly amongst forwards, available from the speculated list of teams Iginla's willing to waive for. But the Pens do have some big defensemen in Dumoulin and Harrington.

John Shannon of sportsnet is reporting that the stars want to re-sign Jagr. If he's not made available at the deadline that could only be good for Iginla's trade value.

With how tight things are between both conferences, I think the Flames would be one of few teams in a firesale, as most other legitimate outsiders-looking-in are rebuilding clubs. I could see Washington, Buffalo and Tampa Bay or Philly doing some selling, but even still, it's a seller's market.

For those that don't know, Grant Pollock is a LONG time Calgary sports reporter. Like from the "hello Calgary" days (20-25 years?)

This NHLwiki account has been credible in the past. Call it sketchy if you want but if this is true then maybe it seems likely we'll be getting a goalie back for Iginla (if Chiarelli gives in).

So, either Iginla to the Bruins or Kipper to the Leafs, or both.

Not much on the Bruins roster that fit the bill of what the Flames are looking for though. There's Bartkowski and Caron, but neither are particularly good.

I was afraid of this. Way too much smoke about the Flames looking for a goaltender. Great use of that 2nd round pick on Ramo . Once again, we have to hope another organization saves the Flames from themselves. I hope the Bruins sit tight on Subban and prevent the King and co. from making a big mistake.

I was watching the Hawks vs. Kings game and they said Flames management was watching the game from the press box... I know we play the Hawks tomorrow, but it's believed they were scouting both LA and Hawks at the same time.... That Toffoli kid looks like a stud!

Subban has a much higher upside than Ramo, and is probably a couple years away.

Mind you I have little faith in the goalies in the Flames system not named Gilles...

Getting Toffoli would be a steal. Hard to imagine the Kings give him up but at the same time, it kind of looks like their showcasing him. I'm not going to get my hopes up though.

I disagree. I don't see much upside in Subban and it's not just because he looked porous in the WJC.

And I can understand why Gillies is highly regarded now - he's the hot hand, the new and exciting prospect that hasn't suffered a setback yet. But even though Brossiot and Ortio have, there's no reason they can put it together. But that's only going to happen if they get a proper chance to showcase what they can do. If Ward's still here next season, then I wouldn't be surprised to see Brossoit as the 3rd stringer behind Taylor and some other random AHL veteran goalie with no NHL future. Because that's the Flames way.

Honestly, I don't mind the idea of adding Subban to the mix. Obviously this isn't my first preference (I'd love to see Iggy with the Kings and in return we get Toffoli).

I think he's Boston bound. My prediction for return:

Subban, Camara/Caron, 2013 1st & 3rd.

I'd rather do something like this. But if the rumors that Khokhlachev was on the table for Morrow and Chiarelli had proclaimed Spooner and Subban as untouchable prospects, then I'd expect that an offer like that was already given to the Flames, but refused because they're still hung up on Subban.

I don't know why everyone is so high on Khokhlachev? I get he's skilled, but there isn't that much special about him. Subban has a much higher ceiling than Khok. (I get we have decent goalie prospects, but I believe Subban will be a legit #1 in the not to distant future.)
