Columbus-Philadelphia

To Flyers:
Nikita Nikitin

To Jackets:
Matt Read

A move that helps both teams. Flyers need a puck moving D Man with a good shot, and the Jackets could use some help up front. Thoughts?

I don't see CBJ going for this at all. Nikitin really needs a Russian speaking partner it seems as well to really excel. So with that being the case I am not sure it is a great deal for the Flyers as well.

If were going to trade Read, or someone else for D, I'd rather he be a little more physical than this guy. . If they do make a trade I sure as hell hope they get a guy who can win a faceoff sometime in the next millennium

Matt Read is reaching Kadri levels for being included in trades.

Matt Read is better used in a package for a better defenseman.

Just curious but how are you quantifying this?

Because Read is a good, versatile player, who has a good cap number, and the Flyers should be able to add to that in order to get a better player.
