False if you watch Macdermid vs. Rupp fight u clearly see Thornton and Rupp right next to each other

No. Scott played for the NYR last year. He challenged Chara a few times. Thornotn was in the lineup.

Agreed. Play the game, hit them hard, score. If a fight happens, it happens. No need to "send a message." Let the Sabres stoop to posturing. The Bruins don't have to.

its the only line not scoring for us. If anything replacing Bourque with Pie just makes the line that much better on defense.

Plus the line has a ton of speed and Pie has been working his butt off.

I like the move.

Third game, once with Blackhawks and once with Rangers: http://nesn.com/2013/01/shawn-thornt...-come-to-town/

Thornton should beat him. Thornton had no problem with the just as big and tougher (he actually beat all the top heavyweights) Derek Boogaard.

I think this is exactly how the B's will approach this game.

Lucic already had to fight the game after the miller hit. The "tough guys" that the Sabres went out and got were not even on the team so are they really that into getting payback for Cry'n Ryan?

If anything it is more about Scott/Thornton and the comments that were made between them not Lucic/Miller.

It's pretty flattering that all these teams add complete garbage and then play that garbage just because the Bruins beat everyone up.

I think the one thing that I know for sure that would release the beast/poke the bear would be, messing with Hamilton. I'm curious to see how Hamilton reacts in a game as tonight's.

Whatever I just hope its a clean a game..

Hoping Looch doesn't get goaded into a fight tonight. He barely wanted to get into it with Gleason. If he's amped up, I'm happy to see him fight, but don't bother dropping the gloves if your heart's not in it.

Why not? His speed may open up some lanes for Peverly and Kelly.

Damn, I hope the line kicks ass tonight.

Scott can fight but can't play; Ott is capable of getting destroyed if he fights anyone who can throw him- he'll probably go after Campbell, or maybe even take a shot at Horton

Kaleta is out, is McCormick playing or still hurt....their Lucic type is in Vancouver for Hodgson...who else do they have that can toss em

I just hope the Bruins play a good game. Time for a decisive victory and Buffalo is struggling and the Bruins usually do well against them.

This thread has so much focus on the rough stuff. I love that **** but it's always hard to predict and the games that get built up the most usually let down in that facet.

You stole my thunder.. I was thinking the same thing. Fat Assenhoven will definately **** with any type of fighting. I really hope they put out the "goon" squad for the opening face off.. there some kind of scrum, fight or what have you. Then when thats all figured out we score the first goal. Or score the 1st goal or two.. then beat them in a few fights and just totally get into their heads.
