Finally got to have a night out with my bride last night. We went to Salvatore's at Downtown Crossing for dinner, then walked over to see Shear Madness. Not gonna lie, it was actually extremely entertaining. I got the tickets on Bostix a while back for essentially half off, but even if I had paid the price printed on the tickets it would have been well worth it. Basically two hours of a play/improv with some crowd participation and interaction. Plus one of the guys rocked a Bruins jersey for the entire time and they made a Bruins joke.

And now back to reality today

OH OH! The baby started waving and crawling. I've seen her wave three times now, and it's the funniest thing I've ever witnessed. Not much crawling, but she has scooted herself twice in order to grab things ahead of her, and she's got the motion down. Soon!

Does your friend also work the front and handle guest complaints/feedback during the night? The table next to us had a "bad" experience for their standards, and the woman who was acting as hostess/floor manager at the time squashed it like a pro. It had nothing to do with me but I was really impressed. That stuff goes a long way imo.

Also, thought it was a little weird that the hostess was doing so much, but if she's a manager then I guess it makes sense.

He probably does, but since it's a he I guess he wasn't working last night.

Their food is really good. There's one in Medford Sq which my friend also used to work at (he kind of bounces around the franchise and helps get new locations up and running), which makes for a nice local option.

Rats. Oh well. It was a nice place. Small but not cramped, nice without being too fancy, and solid options at a price smack in the middle of casual and classy. I was very happy with the choice.

So ready for spring. I don't mind the cold or the snow, but I'm just ready to be outside all weekend.

Holy cow, I saw Shear Madness in Boston 30 years ago.

Sounds like a great weekend.
