Continue.

He's a first round pick after all.

Shouldn't we graduate this thread to "Prospect Info" or something?

I mean that draft was almost a year ago now. People coming here during this years draft might get confused by this threads name if its still at the top of the page

MTV3 shows the game if you have an access to a TV.

Oh yeah. Without naming any names, some people better get ready for some public crow eating

Did only see the last period of todays game but everyone praised Brodin again, saying that they want to see him in the WC.

What I managed to see from Brodin yesterday was really impressive. He is really a master of using his stick defensively stopping forwards right on their tracks. He made some nice pokechecks and took out the oponent´s stick preventing the cross creasers a couple of times. With the current D the wild have I am really hoping that he can play on the Wild line up next season. I would consider him a huge upgrade for the Wild. And regarding the Brodin vs Klefbom that´s really come up lately here I see no reason to consider Klefbom the superior player expect for his size. Klefbom didn´t even make this EHT team which says a lot. I didnt get to see todays game of Finland vs Sweden and I really hoped I would have just so I could see more from Brodin.

Klefbom has taken an incredible huge step since WJC. Before xmas he was the 8th or 9th D in Färjestad. In the last 2-3 months he was in our top 2 playing close or even more than 20 min a game.

Very very little difference between the two.

Oh. Didn´t know that thanks for the info. I agree that the WJC was the turning point for Klefbom´s performance but I have only seen him play in the WJC so I cant really say too much about him.

"In this team there's only 3 I would like to see make the WC squad - Jonas Brodin, Calle Järnkrok and Johan Larsson."

"Brodin was one of few D's that were up to standard during this tournament. He got the pace, very seldom do mistakes when it comes to marking and have such a high hockey IQ that he can solve difficult situations under heavy pressure. This even tho he is just 18 years old."

I'd bet money on Lundin not coming back next year.

LOL Lundin.

Forgot about Kassian though. All the <30 numbers I'd like to see are taken. Let's go high.

52, 58, 62, 72?

Maybe 3, 8, 18...

Aw hell, just as long as his name is on a Wild jersey next season.

I love how far Brodin has come. I remember being at the draft thinking, "Who the hell is this guy?" I didn't do a ton of research though. He's probably good enough to make our team next year if his stickwork is as good as they say it is.

i think he developed and improved a ton since we drafted him. at the draft i was thinking ryan murphy ryan murphy, then at the summer camp i wasnt too impressed. but ever since watching him play this year for SWE in the WJC, i like him a lot now

Also, it seems as if I was the first to see the Burns trade coming after we picked him?

There was a typical "sky is falling" mentality when Brodin was picked. People can be so reactionary sometimes.
