Meth, Condra and Karlsson.

Yes, Karlsson. No one notices but he ties the forwards infront of the net making him a non-factor in the play, making it 4 guys passing on the perimeter; and he clears it with relative ease.

I love O'Brien, but honestly he is not the best forward PKer. I find he often gets caught out of position, same with Greening and Daugavins.

Greening rarely plays the PK, so I don't see why he would even be in the discussion

I don't think O'Brien is much better. JOB is a great 4th liner, but he is far from this team's best forward PKer.

Being a good 4th liner does not a great PKer make. Spezza, for example, is far better on the PK. Same with Alfie.

Voted Condra, HM to Methot. Condra is just so damn flawless in his game.

No, but why would Maclean keep putting JOB out for PKs if he wasn't good at them? And our PK has been solid this year, 6th in the league, and all the teams above us have had fewer penalties. Obviously what we are doing is working. And even if JOB is more aggressive on the PK than a lot of other guys, and allows him to take away lanes, or get a chance to have a break, or create a break (he had one tonight, and I think Condra had one earlier this year). Also, with two big bodies in Phillips and Methot spending most of the PK time down low it lowers the risk in being too aggressive

He's an energy player and energy guys are supposed to play the PK. He's alright at it, and plays more than offensive guys like Spezza and Alfie, but that doesn't make him the best.

I agree with you about the D though.

I like that you pointed this out. Spezza has been fantastic on the PK. His long reach have broken up countless passes from boards to the defenders and vise-versa.

Condra handles most of the work even though the puck continually flips end over end when on his stick.

Michalek and Condra are the 2 best forward PKers

Methot and Phillips are the best D PKers.

I feel like Condra picked up Chris Kelly's stone hands torch that was passed on when he was traded.

AND THIS IS A GOOD THING.
I miss Kelly.

Karlsson turns our PK into offense. I dunno how many other players on our team can do that.

I did miss him... but maybe we have him again! Kelly FINALLY got to 20 goals last year. If Condra could get 15-20 goals every season he would be an invaluable member of this team for a long time. I actually think he can.

I am continually impressed with those 2010/11 rookies Condra and Greening!
