Don't worry guys. I'm wearing my Sabres shirt. We're 2-2 when I wear it. Never fear.

What exactly are people expecting from him? He's an agitator. He's not some enforcer or whatever. He's like a Kaleta with more skill, except he doesn't spend all his time lining people up from across the ice.

I think he's been pretty good.

Too many people have been lumping him in with Scott.

No kidding...

1g, 1a, 24 hits in 6 games, backchecks like a fiend.

What more did people want from him?

I think people are simply unfamiliar with him. And with the dumb "Sabres trying to get tougher" narrative the media won't let go of, he gets lumped in with Scott. Thus people expect him to punch the head off of Lucic.

"Tougher to play against", to me, means backchecking, forechecking, and strong puck possession. I couldn't give a **** about adding useless fighters.

Ott is the former, Scott is the latter.

Wait, people think Scott was more than window dressing?

The core of the "harder to play against" additions came with Ott and a full season of Foligno.

He has been solid in every area except for agitating. He needs to pester, get under skin, those kinds of things.

Everything else has been fine. But I haven't seen the player "everyone is thrilled he's out of the West" or anything like that. I'd like to see that tonight.

Literally every single time I've heard that phrase I've heard Scott's name within 5 seconds.

Awards:
If Paul MacDermid is playing, can the Sabres convince Mike Foligno to suit up? Get a little old time Adams Division stuff going. Or how about Kluzak? He and Foligno hated each other.

Yeah, the result of Bourdon running him head-first into the glass against Philly, which was what, January?

Personally, I hope that these two just drop the gloves and get it done. No horsing around and trying to draw someone into a penalty.
Wound up much?

It's a nickname a lot of us call Thornton because he is our enforcer and he also takes boxing lessons as part of his off season training.

I hate when other teams' players do it and that is exactly what Kaleta did. You see him look right at Brown and then turn. I don't know what the heck some of these players are thinking, or if they're purposely trying to draw call (how stupid if so), but it's more obvious in this example than any.
Won't get any steam from me...I totally agree...

This is Foligno's first game against the Bruins, right? At least since FES happened? If so, :3

I'm sure it was like when the teacher on Charlie Brown speaks.

Leopold should be scratched after that display against Toronto. No wonder no one wants to play for him, his favorites will always be his favorites.
