But you have a few cold days in the winter; that's life in Canada. There is so much to do in winter in Winnipeg and the surrounding areas that you can't even keep track of everything. I think it's just ignorance of those living in palm tree land.

Yeah, because everyone in the world has apparently been here to make such an observant comment

Anyone, the Jets really need dump it in. Florida D is standing up at the blueline, the Jets have had most success dumping it on and cycling, overpowering their Dmen.

We're trying to make the fancy plays out there. No one just rifles it on the goal. We to much stickwork down their middle.

Cold: yes
Boring: depends

I never realized how brutally cold wpg winters are, until I moved to southern Ontario last year... But I'm not in Toronto, so there was def more to do in wpg than where I am now.

I doubt Noel is happy about a 30th place team being able to dictate the pace of play so far. Look for a very different team to start the 2nd (I hope...).

My brother-in-law's an ignorant American too...but luckily his Winnipegger wife and hockey-crazed son have some common sense.

People who say there is nothing to do in Winnipeg need to get out more....between the outdoor sports (we're the Spongee Capital of the World!!! WOOT)...and the "indoor sports"...(seriously we have some smokin' hot women....stuck up....but smokin hot), there's lots to do.

Last weekend I lost my voice twice....Friday night and Sunday night at both Jet games....and next week will be just as busy!

I don't want to get into this old tired argument but there is a lot to do in Winnipeg, just different things to do.

Trust me if I could be in Miami right now I would be

There are lots of arts, festivals, shows and stuff to take in here.

Exactly. This is what I say as well. Those who say otherwise, well, are a bunch of whiners. Wah.

I've lived in Van (10 years) Edmonton, Calgary, Peace River. When an opportunity to come back arose, I took it. All cities have their positives and negatives. As much as I loved Vancouver, it was not without it's negatives. Cost, traffic, earthquakes, social issues.

I will probably live in a few more different places in my life but I will always return to Winnipeg, because there are plenty of wonderful things about this city and surrounding area.
