I wouldn't say good, but they look better.

We still haven't even scored a goal so, it's tough to say we look good.

And once again Kovy lost the puck that almost led to a 3-man rush.

Shore is looking great. We're killing it in the faceoff circle. The D is playing much more aggressively in the offensive zone which is helping the forwards a lot.

Thing is we don't have jovo slowing us down, he would pinch and blow a tire trying to reclaim his spot coming back or he would fumble a play because he was thinking about burgers (look at the panther site for the article)

I like jovo being here just because he can retire here, throws his weight/aggressiveness around and we can put his jersey in the den. I feel the whole giving jovo the captain was to make him retire in a big fashion.. the guy will turn 37 this year soon. Later we give the c to weiss or cambell. Good for our hockey culture.

I like strachan.. he plays with alot of poise and confidence. He tries to skate the puck up the ice when he can. He looks like garrison slowly gaining his game early ion his pro years. He suits the pairing with Ellerby perfectly.

I am very excited about Drew Shore.. that guy will be a great puck possession play-maker soon enough.

So amped to see GOC back. They are playing with some confidence and I swear I saw hubber lean in and lay a hit . This looks like a winnable game and Theo looks sharp again. Shore is impressing me alot lately. Strachan is way more noticable than Jovo or Ellerby already.

The jets need their big bad DB, they look out of snyc a bit.

Interesting sidenote: Sportsnet Ontario rumoring talks with Speeza gone for most of the season, Bryan Murray may be interested in Weiss as a "rental".

What is Weiss worth realistically? As a UFA. Does this remind you of the Bouwmeester situation? If we push towards playoffs, maaaaybe Weiss resigns but if we are sellers at trade deadline then Weiss is gone for a pick.

Thoughts?

I really don't see Shore being sent back to SA. I think once Weiss gets back, Shore is going to stay planted on the second line with Hubby and Mueller.

I agree. Matthias and Santo gave Dineen no reason to give them a shot at that spot in the lineup.

Mueller has been pretty solid not only scoring the 2 goals, but creating chances. I hope it works out for him here.
