Boo at calling us Crappitals. Woe.

PUT OVIE WITH RIBERIO FOR ONE SHIFT. Just one I say! Sneaky Ribs is one of my new fave players now. Also, I never thought I'd actually miss Brooks Laich. Brouwer continues to irritate me. I'm sure I read somewhere that Holtby's starting tonight. But I couldn't say with 100%.

With Nicky playing as well as he did last game maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to pair Ovi with him now. Nicky came alive. He seemed to have his strength along the board. The team is coming along fine with the new system. If we can get Ovi to play only as good as he did last year we'd be scary, especially with Noovy playing pretty damn well. Here's to optimism.

I'd love to see Nicky with Ovie more often. When they click, they click beautifully. I hope Ovie shakes whatever it is that's keeping him down.

I watched NHL Overtime the other night and Jeremy Roenick's body language after hearing Ovie's quote of "the pressure's off now" after their one win made me laugh. He was face-palming dramatically. I'm thinking Ovie might have meant the pressure of that first win/first goal was gone.

I am an Ovechkin optimist/believer.

3-2 shootout loss, Ovechkin "hat trick".

Tonight's the night for a Joey Crabbtrick.

I get it but it's still a bit odd that Hamrlik & Poti continue to sit out.

Recently when Ovechkin plays with Backstrom we had tons of episodes of Backstrom carrying the puck coast to coast and Ovechkin being forced to stop at the blueline to not go offsides, then pick up his speed again. As a result momentum of the line is lost completely and everyone here interprets it as Ovechkin being lazy. It probably weighs down on him as well. Put him with Ribeiro and Ward for now and Backstrom with players who don't covet the puck as much.

Working on a trade is the only hope I have for them both being out.

Why is Neuvirth starting 5 in a row? He's played reasonably well, but I don't think spectacularly enough to merit 5 straight starts.

Benching six and a half million of cap space doesn't do it for you?

I'm guessing Oates will play him until there's a back-to-back or he has a bad game.

I'm sure some team riddled with injuries will take at least Hamrlik before the season is over.

If they are out again tomorrow then I'm sold that someone is getting traded. I don't know if that would mean either one of those guys or someone else.

I replayed a couple of games and cannot see anything that blatantly stood out for them to be constantly scratched.

Poti given his situation I thought was fine. He went to Hershey and came back in a hurry. Why didn't they just keep him there to max out his reconditioning stint? Hamrlik was fine too - nothing stood out. Both players could be playing for someone easily.

Frankly with the continued struggles to score I'd like them both in the lineup.

I don't get the appeal. He's 22 and has 29 goals in 130 AHL games.

Rather have a draft pick, myself.

I know its only 6 games in, but If your top 3 point producers are Ribs, Ward and Chimera you are not winning many games... and no amount of excuses for our top offensive players is going to change that.

Hopefully, Ted "calling OV out" has some sort of an effect.

Take it easy. There was a lockout.

We had no training camp.

We have a new system.

Can't tell if you're joking, or just reaffirming the culture of excuse making for the players....
