Was just about to post this as well. Guess it'll be confirmed by the Ducks once BM is awake and tells the media department to publish a short news. Looks to be a good signing regardless of how he pans out, it can't hurt to have one more Center in the organization.

Does anyone have a talent analysis of the guy? Or any idea what kind of player he is?

He's the leading scorer of OHL right? Not a bad thing to have one of those in your system. Could become a very good AHL player in time I suppose.

He's a pass first play maker. He people said Nail propped him up before getting drafted, then they said the same about Galchenyuk, but he's getting it done without either of them. 22 goals 80 assists this year, leading the OHL.

Charlie has the great combo of hard forecheck, good energy, and amazing hands and vision on the ice. He almost always makes the best play possible. 80 assists can't be denied. Decent sized now, especially when there were doubters I'm the past. Sarault would be a great asset for any club.

I asked somone that watches Sarnia play often and he said. "Smaller, crafty playmaker. Smart Centerman that plays both ends of the ice very well. Mistake free type of player."

Is he from somewhere weird so that a bunch of niche fans will follow him here? Is he Luxembourgian or Narnian or something?

That's exactly what I was envisioning from the scouting reports in this thread.

I actually didn't know that you could sign junior guys in the middle of the season like this. It doesn't seem to happen often.

Probably not many juniors guys each year are undrafted but good enough to get into a bidding frenzy over I'd think.

Friday was when the window opened. This is about the time that teams sign their own prospects.

Is Myles Bell still available? No matter what happened, he would be awesome. Sarault looks like a great pickup. Still some interesting FA out there.

I really like this. Who knows, maybe he turns into an NHLer.

Bell was listed 87th in the CSS 2013 midterm ranking. So I guess he's still draft eligible?

Sounds like if a playmaking-esque role doesn't work out for him, he can become Cogs-esque

I think BB is calling him up to center the #2 line Friday against Calgary.
