So one under performing prospect on the second line wasn't enough lets grab another. The fact that he might take playing time away from DJ moves me one step towards a different opinion of leadership within the organization.
He's basically Tangradi but a lot smaller & a little faster.

He's played the last few years (and is also GM and co-owner) for HC Plzeň, his home town club, in the Czech Extraliga. He last played in the NHL for the 07-08 Rangers and actually managed 14+27 in 65 games.

Boychuk has not exactly showed anything that gives us hope that he is a solution. However, he does have some talent and draft pedigree, so I suppose it is one of those moves where we could get lucky.... just not easy to see where he gets the chance to suddenly shine.
Malkin's line... well, not knowing much about Boychuk's game, on paper it isn't obvious why he is a better solution than Tangradi and Jeffrey. But we will see.
