Dustin Byfuglien absent from practice

Per Penton and Ed Tait. Tait speculates he might not play tonight. Any word if he is injured?

He's had breaks from practice before. Likely giving him time off to rest up for tonight. He'll be there.

Uh-oh.

If that's indeed the case, who does Enstrom get paired with. Stuart?

Per Penton Buff is officially a game time decision.

Hopefully it is:

Toby - Hainsey
Stu - Redmond
Clitsome - Postma

It was probably an optional skate.

Oy. Hopefully he plays. On the plus side we'll see Redmond.

I wish I saw this before I placed a large vBookie bet

Our D has been a big problem this year, much like our forwards were last year - we're basically missing a pairing of NHL caliber players (although Postma has surprised me). If Buff is out, we're in big trouble not just from losing our biggest offensive catalyst but from the fact that we'll have another AHL guy step in and one of Postma or Clitsome will be bumped up at least a pairing. Byfuglien has been by far the most impressive Jet for me this year.

Where is Randy Jones?

Just hope we are not pinning our hopes on Redmond too much, he has played 0 NHL games.

I think buff is physically sick and not injured, as I have thrown up a lot in my life (don't ask) buff looked sick in mtl and watch the overtime Kane goal and look at buffs face when he congratulates Kane

Maybe he had too much Mexican food and beer last night and has stomach cramps (i.e. 'the runs')? Tough playing hockey when you have the runs...but could be an advantage as no one would want to defend him!! lol

Oh not at all. I think many of us have wanted to see him, hopefully he can play well and take Clitsomes place in the line up.
But I in no way expect him to fill Buff's shoes.

My guess is:
Toby - Hainsey
Stuart - Redmond
Clitsome - Postma

That keeps at least one pairing intact, even if it has been a bad one.

If Buff goes, they are probably swapping out Redmond for Postma (both righties)... but Hainsey swings both ways so they could do:

Toby - Buff
Hainsey - Postma
Stu - Redmond

I really don't see Noel breaking up Hainsey and Stu though.

I thought the same. On Kane's goal he had the "trying not to vomit" face.

A bug running thru the team would definitely help to explain some stuff from the Montreal game. As I mentioned in another thread earlier, I thought there was something really "tired" about Pavs in mtl too. A few others seemed "off" as well...

Pretty sure that was his reaction to Kane's new haircut

He just swallowed his dip instead of spitting it out.

According to a Noel pre-game scrum Byfuglien re-aggravated something.

I would really feel better about things if the Jets could get another veteran who can capably fill in in the top 4. I know they aren't cheap but even with everyone healthy we need that depth.
