Thornton always struck me as an intelligent but cocky fighter, i think he really overestimated his fighting skill and ability to cope with reach accepting this one though. I hope he has no long term head injuries, he was out of it.

Impressive beatdown from Scott. Thornton usually does a good job neutralizing the bigger guys.

Well, the bolded may or may not be true but certainly doesn't apply to Shawn Thornton, dude has been in this league for over a decade and won two cups. He's fought bigger guys before, usually he's doing a decent enough job to neutralize them, he did quite well against Boogard. Obviously not this time, never seen him getting beaten up that badly. Fair play to Scott, whom I'm not a big fan of, for the fight and attitude afterwards.

If its Wiki, it says who edited it. Gives out all their info.

Whoever did that is silly.

Maybe Thornton started to believe all the Bruins fans that said John Scott was "scared" of him.

Well, the Broons may be w/o their toughness for a bit(ST hope him well soon). I don't think anyone else in the division wants to risk their toughness now either vs. Scott. Everyone who said straight enforcers are a bad idea may soon be proven wrong in the east. We'll see, esp if Kaleta can come back.

No they won't. As a Flyer fan I've seen this before. Scott may get 2 or 3 other fights, then nobody in the division will drop the gloves with him. Then the guy becomes so useless cause he cant play the game at all.

Don't even get me started on the Playoffs. Scott will be a huge liability out there, why do you think Chicago fans didn't give 2 ***** about him when he was gone? He'll be irrelevant by next season. Hell nobody in the conference fights Jody Shelley even more. Why? Cause its true what Rupp said, he's irrelevant. Same with Scott. Probably more so cause Shelley is a good lockeroom guy.

Carcillo ko'd him in the winter classic. It's amazing he does as well as he does as a heavyweight considering his size. He's got great technique. Scott backed straight away when they dropped the gloves b/c he knew if Thornton got inside he could tie him up and work him over like he did to beat Boogaard and to Laraque in his prime.

I am loving this. The Bruins of old would have all been fighting at the end of the game seeing Buffalo killed them. But with Big John Scott concussing Bruins Thugs, they all stayed away like good little boys. They only pick on non fighters like MaxPac and other Hab non pugilists.

haha this post makes me laugh. I'm happy the montreal canadien fans are happy about this beat down. If prust or white steps up to scott I think something similiar will happen. But i'm happy to see you guys so happy over a fight that your team had nothing to do with.

Tyler Myers is 6-8 and he can't fight, lots of big guys over 6-5 can't fight.

I was disappointed in Myers last night, not just his play. There was a big scrum in front of Miller involving Perverly. Myers just stood on the exterior and watched, until some Bruin facewashed him from behind. He could only answer by gently hugging the guy. He's needs some nastiness.
