Tougher to play Against

If Fluffy ruffy had a pair and wants his team to be harder to play against, then I say he orders his team to go full out brawl in beantown Thursday.

Scott starts with beating the crap out of Lucic then Chara.

Ott runs........... I mean crashes Tuka or whatever his name is in goal.

Put a player through the dam zamboni entrance boards!!!!!!!!!!

Miller goes full out Billy Smith style hack saw crazy on some ankles!

Dictate the dam play for once in their lives.

Country club Excuse me type hockey dont work. Its time for this team to make a statement.

Remember the movie "The Replacments". When falcco doesn't show up for the game and the reporter asks the head coach what it would take to win, the coach says "HEART" and points to his chest. HEART. There's two types of playing the game, showing up and you play the game and you ether win/lose.. Then you go on with your business. Or, you play the game & have fun and enjoy it ether win/lose, they look so dull out there skating around. Someone needs to light a fire and get this **** going or DRAFT DAY is the only thing we have to look forward this spring.

As much as I hated Muckler, when he was coaching the sabes, he at least went to the press and called for a all out brawl against the nordiques ! He even challenged Pierre Paget their coach to a fight and vowed he can take him no problem.

Thats what this team needs !!!!!!

Watching fluffy ruffy behind the bench reminds me of the stale loaf of wonder bread in my cupboard.

I really don't care how "tough" they are or aren't, as long as they develop a winning culture.

I'm sure all the Cups in Detroit were a nice consolation for people calling them soft etc.

You do realise that we have to score goals to win? It's not team with the highest collective PIM wins the SC..

In all seriousness whenever I watch the games and we lose I see these 3 things:

1. Not burying chances
2. Lost defensmen
3. Nervous play/bad passing.

We aren't the most violent team and we aren't going to be. Not a bad thing imho.

First of all i want to see a bunch of winners on the ice. All i see now is a bunch of passive, reactive losers who seem to skate slower, tackle softer, dribble worse and pass like hobos. That's what it's needed to change.

Then i would like to see someone seriously injure Marchand, punch in his ugly nose! Can't Rob Ray take one for the team?

I wouldn't mind playing tough but we aren't constructed that way, I would like to see complete effort from everyone to be the norm as opposed to the anomaly. I would like to see hustle and courage and the will to battle instead of the pillow soft mentality this team seems to carry.

As exciting as that would be, I would settle for solid play in the defensive zone..

This team isn't equipped to slug it out with Boston. No team in the league is. Chara, Thornton, Lucic, and McQuaid is about as tough a four-some as you can put together. They're as deep in pugilists as they are in talent. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.

If Scott don't fight Lucic tomorrow, I will be very disappointed. Beat them on the ice and on the scoreboard. One doesn't have to rule out the other.

Scott will fight Thornton. There will be a couple random fights (like Campbell vs. Ott) and that will be that.

Honestly if Scott beat the crap out of Lucic, and we ran Rask and knocked him out of the game, I think I could deal with a loss if we did that. I would be satisfied. We can get the win streak going next game.

Maybe I'm old school

It's not that simple. If you run over Rask, then they come back and run over Miller. If it turns into an Old West shootout, the Bruins have more guns. The Sabres have to play tough but smart...not kick open a hornet's nest.

Our forwards are tougher, our D is still ultra soft. We do not do well with high pressure forechecks
