Kadri and Reimer, who nearly every non Leaf fan (and many Leafs fans) called a bust have been amazing. Their haters are eating crow, and I love it!

Kessel is just snake-bitten, but man is he dangerous offensively. He's even taking some punishment infront of the opposition's net.

That was the Buffalo feed. Listen to the Bruins feed. Edwards was degrading Scott hardcore. I thought he was on the verge of tears.

Kessel still has his goal slump but he's still contributing on the offensive side.

Can't wait to see what he does when he breaks out of his slump, wouldn't be surprised to see him close to a ppg halfway into the season.

Scott seems like a real classy guy:

Scott also said he was concerned when Thornton didnt return to the game.

I was asking our trainers how hes doing. You never want to hurt somebody, Scott said. I was kind of concerned after the first period we never saw him again. So I still dont know how hes doing, hopefully hes doing well. You hate to see someone leave the game like that.

Ok before you start gushing over Riemer, keep in mind two things a) he stopped 20/22 shots tonight for a .909%, that is AVERAGE goaltending nothing elite about it b) his save % is .910 is tied for 25th out of 30 starting goalies, thats not even adequate this season, granted many goalies are struggling.

Riemer isn't horrible by any stretch but come on man he's at best average right now, he's been far from "amazing", sorry but your blinded by him IMO.

Well to be fair, by definition "average" would mean he is borderline playoff calibre, which is all you can really ask for from him at his age

Those are decent enough numbers given it is just the start of the season and everyones stats are either bloated or very underwhelming. I overall agree with you but in my own opinion, stats will be a lie till atleast another 10-15 games. That is when we will know EXACTLY where we stand and what moves we will need to make.

Orr has had the Boston game on his calendar for almost a year.

average goaltending - instead of league worst goaltending - would have been good enough for us to make the playoffs some of the last few years.

Chicken or the egg. Was it league worst defensive coaching that didn't help our goalies? Believe it or not the ability of the defence and system in front of the goalie is factored into to their stats.

Not many defencemen who have left our team have gone on to do great things.

our goalies were all crap - which is why they're all out of the league now, or limited action backups at best.

Reimer's the only decent goalie we've had since Belfour, and just our luck he got his head ripped off to start the year last year and never got it back together.

Leafs goalies haven't left to do great things either. Except maybe Giggy.

Toronto has been a black hole for players afterwards in their career except Hal Gill and Ian White who are respectable.

In fact, theres not a single damn player that is any good that has left our team and still played well.

Only on defence.
