What I find promising is that last year the leads had a ridiculously hot start, but that was only with Lupul and kessel both scoring at like a 200 point pace.

What a terrible, embarrassing thread. You don't judge a trade after 2 games. And Luke Schenn himself didn't look good at all in his first couple of games in Philly.
Last year we went into boston feeling all giddy after a win and got smacked. this next game will really tell a lot about how much progress we have really made.

It's so sweet that we turned Schenn into JVR. If he can keep up this kind of intensity, look out standings... I mean seriously, when was the last time we had a big man with that kind of presence on the ice and offensive drive?
I am loving JVR on this team. Can't believe all the haters before the season started. I just briefly checked Philly's site, you know, in hopes that Schenn is crapping the bed. Turns out this trade seems to have benefited both teams. Probably us more so than them though.
Also turns out that Kostka is actually effective when he one-times the puck. I was screaming at the tv every single time he stopped the puck instead of one-timing it. Then the one time he does, assist!
Sucks Kessel's still snake bitten, but as long as he gets points, and the leafs win, I don't care who's doing the scoring. Oh wait, I think Frattin's got that one covered.
this is the main thing that pisses me off about Kostka. His decision making is too slow... I can't even count how many times he's had a shot to one-time a pass but took too long to decide/shoot.
