Kyle Calder scored in OT for SSK!

Just a short report from Sweden on Kyle Calder's summarizing his latest accomplishments for Södertälje SK.
SSK made it to the play-offs with the smallest of margins. They were then drawn against the runner up in the Elite Series, Linköping HC, for the Quarterfinals.

SSK won the first game at home with 3-0, Calder notched one goal, a sweet deflection on a pass from Scott Thornton.

SSK lost the second game away by 2-1, Calder equaled the score to 1-1 in the second period on a rebound.

SSK lost the third game at home in OT by 1-2, no points for Calder.

SSK won the fourth game away in the second OT period by 3-4. Calder evened the score to 1-1 in the first period on a rebound and got the game winning goal when challenging a defender, beating him, cut in in front of the goalkeeper and got the puck in the net!

He is now a super hero in Södertälje Town!

Tomorrow, Saturday, the fifth game is on, away again and on Monday the sixth game takes place om home ice.

1 assist for Calder in the 5th QF

Calder, and SSK, managed to win the second away game in a row by 2 to 1. In a 5-3 power play Kyle Calder assisted Joakim Eriksson on the goal that evened the score to 1-1. 40 seconds later SSK scored again and won the game even though they lost the shots on goal by 36-16!
SSK now have the opportunity to finish of this qf series on home ice, it's many many year since SSK made it to the semis and the whole town longs for it.
Calder is improving his game all the time and is proving to be a real asset to SSK.
