How on earth does Zetterburg not get a penalty for pawing at a Blues players head with his gloves?

I think we're doing much better now. We were outplaying them for the most part, like we should be. Hopefully we keep it up.

Wings fan coming in peace looking to commiserate about the inconsistent calls both ways. Missing obvious ones on Detroit but calling crappy ones, etc. Why is this always such an ongoing problem? And there is so much **** that they space out, so it sucks the life out of a 5on5 game. Its awful.

I know it's his personality to be a little selfish and it's why he's good but Perron needs to mature to the point where he uses his teammates a little more and he needs to be smarter out there, too many penalties.

The Kronwall call is one that made me cringe. The perron one looked phantom. Can we play fricking hockey?

I have less of a problem with his selfishness and more a problem with his gaps in intelligent play.

Which would you rather see the Blues do as a coach?
1. Make a cross ice pass that has little chance of connecting, with a high chance of an odd many rush coming out of the missed pass, but a high chance of scoring if the pass connects
2. Or, a shot from the half wall that has little chance of ending up in the net?

Yes, officiating is horrid thus far, but it's an even game going into the second so we need to grab that puck early and put some more pucks on net.

Depends on who's passing and shooting the puck.

Lets say Perron or Berglund are passing and one of their line mates is the shooter.

I would tell them to shoot, but they better hit the net or it could end up on an odd man rush the other way as well.

The way they're going to the front of the net as a team this year is a big improvement.
