Man, Carolina is red hot. Ironically, they woke up after defeating us. And we also woke up after losing to them.

Any team with two Staals, Skinner, and Cam Ward is going to give you a good chance to win.

A bit wary since they are 1 point behind us, but the way they've played the past week or so..Only a matter of time they settle in at #9/#10 in the East. Marc Bergevin's got a number of 2nds in the upcoming draft, maybe he uses 'em to help out for a playoff run.

I hope we don't get smoked in that game.

They are 1 injury away from free fall.

Beauchemin is pure money for Ducks on the blueline. Does everything right, and led the ducks PK unit to kill 4 minutes of PP in OT.

Hawks had Toews, Hossa, Kane and Sharp on for most of the 2 minutes of 2nd PP.

If we do trade for goalie, I hope its one of Hiller, Fasth or the US goalie in WJC. Those are goalies you can overpay for.

Yep. Markov blows his knee out again and it's over.

It's funny how bad he was for us

He only plays good in Anaheim for some reason I guess...

Carlyle talked about how bad he was when he got back from Ron Wilson. Said he was completely messed up.

Dallas with some fluke goals. Edmonton can't score goals for some reason.

When his former defenceman reappeared on the West coast, Carlyle had to put him back together.

“When we got him back, it seemed to take about three weeks for him to get his confidence back,” Carlyle said. “When he first got there, he was just slapping the puck around and running all over the place. I was saying to him, ‘Why did this happen?’ He said he didn’t know.

“He didn’t skate, didn’t move the puck, he was kind of paralyzed. In some situations, some things with this group have happened at the same level.”

Lehtonen was lights out, and Dallas had one goal deflect off the backglass go up and over the net off the goaltender and in. Kind of like the old Sundin commercials. Then Dallas had one high shot deflect off a defenders (shoulder area) deflect around and hit the goaltender's mask and I think it might have went in off the post. Seriously, the luck they had was all Leafs.

Lehtonen was 1st. star.
Hall was 2nd. with 9 shots.

Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie

WPG has apparently traded Alexei Ponikarovsky to NJD. Details to follow.
