Sucks to see karlson out. Honestly, he was exciting to watch and you never want to see a guy injured. He tried to skate it off but you could see how bad it was. Really hope him a full recovery.

The league should be looking really closely at this guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Cooke practiced that kind of "check" or thought it out before hand. Like what is the penalty for stepping on a players ankle?

That would be a pretty big precedent to set.

OT, anyone see Kadri getting an invite to team Canada for WHC if he puts up like 35+pts?

Was a bit bored so I decided to revisit some of the idiotic discussions on HFBoards:

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...1268963&page=1

Can't believe how close it was.

Kreider is up and down, hasn't even produced in the AHL.

Bruins fans hating on Seguin in their GDT. Too scared of physical contact. Just thought that was interesting, and obviously no trolling implied.

I have seen Seguin enough times to know that he's about as soft as Kessel is but not as talented as him.

Seguin doesn't initiate any contact, he never goes to the corners, hates getting hit.

Was hoping for a Sabres loss, but w/e. At least the Thrashers and Flyers lost in regulation

Flames really should've invested in a backup goaltender.. Without Kipper, they aren't going anywhere.

Schneider let in some stinkers. Reimer would be chased out of T.O (atleast on this board) if he had even had one game like that this season.

Sucks for Canucks fans that Hawks are playing ridiculously good (I mean playoffs).

In other notes.. our goal differential is pretty close to Boston's. And usually, goal differential are a pretty good measuring stick.

Boston +5
Montreal +3
Toronto +4
Ottawa +8
Buffalo -7

This is the order in which teams are ranked in standings right now. But overall goal differential is definitely a positive sign. We just need to keep clear of Montreal, and Ottawa might regress with the major injuries.

At this point it's a blessing in disguise, unintentional tanking. That team needs a facelift real bad. Reminds me of the dark days from 2006-2008

It's interesting that 3 Canadian franchises have a Swede leading them in all time points scored.

And all 3 from the same generation to. Weird really.

Edit: Ah Sedin become Vancouver´s best point scorer, I thought it was Naslund. So not really the same generation.

It is funny listening to the Fan 960, and after a good game the Flames a true playoffs team, but Eric Francis just slams them.

They just do not want to accept the Jarome Sundin should be moved, and that the return from Ed Kiprusoff could help in the rebuild.

They's a watching that meandering river in Egypt.

The New York Rangers are the most valuable NHL franchise at $1.2 billion, taking the top spot on the Forbes list for the first time since 2004.

The magazine said Tuesday that Montreal is second at $1.18 billion, followed by Toronto at $1.15 billion.

My personal opinion has always been that Seguin will be a GREAT second line center and capable to good 1st line center, but IMO he is not a "franchise" Center ala Stamkos, Crosby, Getzlaf ect.

Eric Francis is bang on.

What can you do with this team? It has nothing to do with Feaster and much to do with team pres. Ken King. They are going nowhere with purely complimentary players. To me it seems like its a team full of Clarke MacArthurs and Jay McClements. No disrespect to those players, but you can't win with a team full of them. You need that stud forward, which they have failed to develop in this constant pursuit to mediocracy.

Camalleri just doesn't have the spark that he used to, Hudler at 4 mill isn't going to give you anything and will fail to live up to those expectations, Stajan at 3.5 mill...need I say more? , Tanguay at 3.5 mill for another 3 years after this year...

Going the Oilers way may not be the direction that the Flames go, but they need to maximize returns on Iginla and Kipper this season.

But you are right ULF.
