You need that stud forward, which they have failed to develop in this constant pursuit to mediocracy.

Camalleri just doesn't have the spark that he used to, Hudler at 4 mill isn't going to give you anything and will fail to live up to those expectations, Stajan at 3.5 mill...need I say more? , Tanguay at 3.5 mill for another 3 years after this year...

Going the Oilers way may not be the direction that the Flames go, but they need to maximize returns on Iginla and Kipper this season.

But you are right ULF.
Islanders made the playoffs from 2002-2004 + 2007 with a team full of MacArthurs and McClements

I don't know why the ref just gave that goal when it didn't go in.

Montreal now leading the division, they are playing seriously good hockey right now.

How sweet would it be to meet them in the playoffs

Because the goalie was pulled and he was free on goal.

4 years with top pick for Oilers? How depressing would that be?

Heck, the Leafs have only picked 1st once in history (Clark). One freaking time.

It's a bit amusing to see a team that's picked up forwards in the top 10/top 5 every draft since 2007 be one of the lowest goal scoring teams (Eberle was the 22nd pick in 2008 but still).

The penalty should of been on Bourque for elbowing.
Voracek was elbowed and did nothing wrong

Probably, maybe, just said why it was a goal with out the puck going in.

Habs leading the East, but Bruins have 2 games on hand. I'll expect Habs to go down as they play more road games, or when injuries start coming in. So far, they have been ridiculously lucky with the injuries.

Oilers look terrible. 3rd goal was on J.Schultz making a bad pinch and a resultant breakaway.

How do you leave RNH wide open in the slot?

And seriously, if EDM has a top 10 pick, they NEED to trade up and grab Jones.

They looked good tonight, but not against the Panthers the other day. And the game before that they blew a 3-0 lead in 7-10 minutes. Flyers are in some serious trouble.

Oilers need consistent goaltending and better defensive play. They are working their ***** off right now, but shouldn't have to be in this position tied at 4.

The Avs are a mess. So many teams this season I expected to be better are absolute shambles early on. The Avs, Sabres, Flyers, Capitals...

Colorado do have many players missing from their lineup though.

Because it was an empty net. Seen those many times over the years.

The New York Rangers are the most valuable NHL franchise at $1.2 billion, taking the top spot on the Forbes list for the first time since 2004.

The magazine said Tuesday that Montreal is second at $1.18 billion, followed by Toronto at $1.15 billion.

Leafs are in a similar situation.

Missing

Starting goalie - Reimer
1st. line LW - Lupul
3rd. line PPG RW - Frattin
1st. pairing defender - Gunnarsson
2nd. in scoring defender from last year - Gardiner

It will be nice when they are healthy.
