What period do you think Brouwer will throw the puck over the glass?

So Knuble gets at least a goal, right? It's not like any of the Caps defensemen are going to keep him away from Holtby.

Something's gotta give tonight. Ribero has looked okay this year, a few defensive lapses and a few bad PP passes but overall fine. So far more happy with the new kids (WW, Ribs, and Crabby) than the old guard (OV, 19 and the much-maligned and always frightening to watch Double Nickle). If Ribs and OV develop some chemistry and Backstrom has, well, MoJo? to set up, we'll, uh...

Doom and gloom, thats the party line right? Let's go with that...

I've got a bad feeling we could be down by some crazy number like 4-1 or 3-0 by the end of the first.

My Dad texted me and he skipped the game to head out with our uncle. Every time he does that, up until I was a kid, we always got blown out. Maybe it's a crazy superstition, but it's been consistent.

Appreciate your post though, I didn't know where we stood.
Ah, Ok. I get what you're saying.

I can't recall which game it was recently, but there seemed like a stark contrast in philosophy from the previous game. Guys were shooting from EVERYWHERE. It almost seemed forced, to the point where I wondered if Oates had told them their goal was for every player to get at least one shot. And I wondered if that wasn't such a bad idea.

It's still early, but Ovie looks like he has a bit more jump in his step!

I can't tell if Wolski is just playing better than normal, or if the Caps are actually bad enough that he looks way good.

Another softball twitter question. I wish they would just get rid of that fluff. If I wanted tweets, I'd be on twitter.

This is a lazy, goldbricking team. They've jumped out to fast starts and then taken the foot off the gas too many times to be comfortable with some "jump" in the first.

This teams line changes are absolutely terrible. They telegraph the line change and opposing players just go right back into the offensive zone and establish good puck control.
