If you could re-pick your current captain of your team, who would it be and why?
Keep Backes as captain, at first I didn't believe he was the right one to be the leader, over the years he has shown alot either by fighting, hitting, scoring, etc..
No one really stands out as "Captain" material on the Canucks. Henrik's been fine though, I think I'll leave it with him for lack of any obvious choices.
For as little as you can know about captain's in the NHL and their role in the lockeroom, it's pretty well established that Brenden Morrow is a "quiet" leader. And now that he's not leading on the ice, it's time to get rid of him.
There's two in Dallas who I'd pick, either Jamie Benn or Trevor Daley.
For the Habs Gionta has been a good captain, don't think he is a big loud speaker in the room, but lets his play do the talking. Very underrated, even by some hab fans. But I think when his contract us up after next offseason, I doubt Gionta is going to be re-signed, and no doubt in anyone mind that Gorges is going to be the next captain of the habs.
I wouldn't. The Rangers don't have anyone more worthy of the C than Callahan. Maybe I'd say otherwise if goaltenders were allowed to be the Captain (and I don't mean that bootleg "C on the mask" thing Vancouver pulled, either). I'm good with things as they are.

I doubt very many Rangers fans would change our captain right now.
Alfire is fine. When we were running him out of town Fisher or Kelly would have been nice, and would have liked either of them as successor.
At the moment it looks like Giggles gets the "C" when Alfie goes, would like on Smith, Condra, one of those lower-end, tough, hard working guys that don't have a ton of skill but just work work work work work work each night.
