Free Kyle Okposo! Let's make some wristbands and t-shirts. It's a cause worth getting behind!
What are your thoughts on the kind of player Okposo will be when he tops out?
Let me clarify a bit: I could care less who he is playing with, it's obviously not maximizing his potential. Whether that is scheme or what, it's not just about the linemates.
Look at Ovechkin, he has had great linemates but can't get it done. It's the overall scheme and attitude in general. Work ethic, happiness on the current situation and financial situation, whatever. I don't think he would be as happy being on the Islanders than a Cup potential team.
This guy wants it, he works hard. Put him on a team that actually has a shot to do something and his potential skyrockets.
I guess that would be a problem if we only had the one #1 goalie. Luckily we have 2
By definition, a team can only have one #1 goalie. Unless you think AV is totally indifferent to which goalie plays and that the coinflip he did infront of the cameras was actually what decided which goalie was to play tonight.

Don't let common sense get in the way of your logic, it is possible to have to goalies that could be number 1's.

Of course... but I can't recall a single time in the history of the game, when a coach felt totally indifferent about who gave his team the best chance to win between his two goalies.
My point is simply that -- Vancouver, as a cup contending team, will not be in a position to trade AV's preferred goaltender.

Simply put the Canucks can trade either goalie, because they are lucky to have 2 very good options.
Well i can see a few scenarios playing out from most likely to less likely (IMO).
1. Luo stays the full season and is moved in the off season but the return is quite low considering most teams will be trying to loose salary not add it, my guess 1st and salary is best deal. I can see fans moaning about not taking Bozak+Franson+2nd unless Luo brings home cup then nothing matters lol
2. Luo is moved at the deadline to a contender for a late 1st+non roster high prospect(contenders don't give up roster players at deadline, Van can cuz Schneider)
3.Luo is moved pre deadline for prospect+2nd+gritty 30pt 3rd liner
No one talks about the fact that luongo isn't playing better then normal....this is typical Luo, he's a damn good goalie. He wins games and kicks ass. The only reason people are taiking about Luo is because he could be traded. If that wasn't the case this would be exactly what Luongo brings and why we've been a damn good team since he's been our goalie
