Humour, but then you have the whole debate of how to spell Humour with the Americans and lets not go down that road.

This is absolutely retarded... two team-mates can't low-five each other after a game? Really? M.T. is out of his gourd.

This is kind of story I'd expect to see as a prank April Fools' Day joke.

People love the low-five.

Give 'em what they love.

What a joke

I hate Price and Subban, but this rule is moronic.

It'd be one thing if their celebration was overly long, or in any way a selfish/look at me thing, but it's not. It's just two dudes who are having fun and have a tradition.

This idea that somehow anything individual automatically detracts from the team is stupid.

Very poor decision by a coach who fails to understand players.....however something is up in Montreal with regards to Subban...it may not be long before Subban asks for a trade.

I think Therrien will be fired first, and not because of this.

No matter what any of us think about it the coach has every right to make this kind of call. Seems a bit drastic to me but I could really care less one way or the other. I do know when I saw them doing it I thought it was a bit goofy but at the same time I doubt I'd crack down on it myself.

Subban is already too "flashy" (i.e. black) for the old guard of the NHL. Make sure after he scores a goal. He promptly puts his head down and skates back to his spot by the face-off circle.
Seems like a bit of a stretch.

Therrien was run out of Pittsburgh for making his players hate him and it's only a matter of time before the same happens in Montreal. Price and Subban might say they don't care to the media but I doubt this has gone over well with them.
Then why did they villify Cunneyworth so much last year? The media was all over it but so were the fans, big time.

Good, it's a dangerous celebration (can break their hands) and can rip apart the locker room full of adults.

You are blaming the media? They are just reporting on this. Therrien is the one who thought this was such a detriment to the team that he had to ban it.

HFboarders knowledge of the game & PK Subban > Michel Therrien

Obviously there is a plan in place for Subban. Any rumors of "locker room cancer" in the next couple years will either go away, or Subban will be traded.

Nah, not really. Some yes, but most of us just didn't think he was ready to be a head coach. He had zero chance through no fault of his own.

Back on topic, I can sort of understand why MT did this, but it wasn't an individualistic celebration. What's unfortunate is that it got out to the media. It shouldn't have.

I hate the media in this city so much...

Every decision Michel Therrien makes is the right one and part of a genius master plan.
