No matter what any of us think about it the coach has every right to make this kind of call. Seems a bit drastic to me but I could really care less one way or the other. I do know when I saw them doing it I thought it was a bit goofy but at the same time I doubt I'd crack down on it myself.

Subban is already too "flashy" (i.e. black) for the old guard of the NHL. Make sure after he scores a goal. He promptly puts his head down and skates back to his spot by the face-off circle.

If you want to win you get the BEST coach available regardless of where he's from or what languages he speaks, you don't pull a guy out of the recycle bin because it makes the media happy. Therrien was run out of Pittsburgh for making his players hate him and it's only a matter of time before the same happens in Montreal. Price and Subban might say they don't care to the media but I doubt this has gone over well with them.
Then why did they villify Cunneyworth so much last year? The media was all over it but so were the fans, big time.
