It's really no different than 24/7, which is extremely well received.

It's a great idea. I wonder if it will be like Oil Change.

I wish the Bruins had one.

One thing I wondered was why the Bruins never had one those shows that showed them with the Stanley Cup.

The winners before and after them did.

I go back and forth on this.

As a huge fan of the team, I think it would be really cool to see the inner workings and learn more about how they all function as a group. I know some people choose to look at the team just as hockey players, but I like the personal element of it. It's nice to learn a little bit about the people you spend so much time watching/discussing.

On the other hand, I'm sure it's a huge distraction, and I'm not sure I want the team dealing with that. Some guys would likely relish in the opportunity, while others would hate it. Pressure/division in a room that may disrupt chemistry.

Yes they did. Summer of Stanley 2011 on NHL Network. Off the top of my head, it profiled Ference, Thornton, Bergeron, Lucic, Recchi, Neely. Chara too, I think.

There are some previews on the Habs website. The first episode is there too.

http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=86513

OP: I don't see why it is so funny to you. 24/7 and Oil Change were well received.

I don't get why it's funny, either. I'm all for some good old Habs bashing, but this is a stretch.

Its pretty much the same concept, I saw some previews on RDS with last week or so, they had Geoff Molson in a conference call interviewing Marc Bergevin for the GM position.

Would love to see the ins and outs of the Bruins day to day operations.

It is in partnership with Bell, so i guess they will do one with the Leafs also.

I wish the Bruins had one. it was great when Oil Change showed the process of deciding whether to pick Taylor or Tyler.

I remember some of the Bruins players discussing 24/7 and saying it was interesting but they would hate it. Remember the NHL 36 episode that followed Bergeron had most of the players ducking the cameras?

I'd love it because you know so many of the Bruins are so adept at cliche-speak and it would be nice to see them more human. But I doubt it would happen.

I too would love to see a Bruins reality show, however second the concerns voiced by a lot of you in regards to over-exposure/distractions.

A compromise I would absolutely love would be a season long behind the scenes documentary (including playoffs) that isn't released until after the season, similar to Bill Belichick's "A Football Life." Start with covering them in the pre-season and follow them all the way through until the playoffs were over. That would be true hockey porn for me.

I like how RDS has done it so far, it's not that invasive. When they show important speeches in the room by Bergevin or Therrien, they use a hidden camera. Even when they announced to Galchenyuk he would play the opening game, they used a hidden camera.

Only guys I can remember willingly being on camera on NHL 36

Bergeron(was his episode anyways)
Paille
Marchand

I think they showed Seguin, Thornton, McQuaid and Campbell.
I remember seeing Lucic sleeping

Well, McQuaid at least didn't go running out of the room the way Seidenberg did.

WOuld have loved to have seen all the behind the scenes stuff.

I think also Ference was in it. And I remember Seidenberg running out. It was at the stick place.

Mcquaid sort of gave a nervous smile and stayed, was going to rewatch it yesterday. Will today after class.

I would be perfectly happy with a 16 episodes from post playoffs to the first 20 games or so, day to day operation from the FO.

What I would love to see is for NESN to offer entirely mike'd up games on NESN Plus a couple of times per year. Make it pay per view for $15 or $20, and let us have full access to what is said on the ice. That would be worth the money, IMO.

This is the true story (truuuuue story) of 20 figure skaters picked to dive for a team, and have their games taped. Find out what happens when they stop being polite, and start stealing purses. The Real World Montreal....
