Ok I can play the gee whiz game to...

Malkin was trying to sit up and his momentum swung his stick fwd. He was also looking at the boards and didn't see Staal.

Now back to reality....

- Staal had his balance while he swung his stick and it was done intentionally just like his dirty slash and push into the boards.

- Malkin knew Staal was there and tomahawked him on purpose.

But gee whiz guys...

Rangers and Flyers fans always agree when it's whining about the Penguins. Don't act like this is any different.

Malkin has quite a handful of dirty moments. Most go without even a penalty

Aside of gnawing at Elias' jugular in a scrum drawing blood and sticking a shank in Zajac's ass during a line change, Geno was pretty mild today against the Devils.

How can you suspend Malkin after you rescinded the suspension for this a couple weeks earlier?

2009 was more than a couple weeks ago if my math is correct

I mean I wouldn't argue against it. I didn't see that during the actual broadcast.

He was referring to suspending Malkin for instigating a fight with Zetterberg in the 2009 finals.

Regardless, it was pretty dirty. He didn't get injured and they both threw a bunch of hits/slashes, so I think it's pretty even.
This. That's what NYR fans don't want to understand. All this crap took less than a second.

God bless Staal, he is allowed to beat other players with his stick then hit them with stick in the neck then jump on lying opponent to finish his holy business. If Staal strikes them on the right cheek, they should turn to him the other also. And no one dares to touch him.

And without addressing the fact that Staal's arms were extended forward as the stick moved to Malkin's head, you go on and make claims.

Ill ask again: how does a player with his arms extended intentionally swing their stick at a players head without any movement that indicates such?

I think most people have these things called wrists. All that needed to swing modern day hockey sticks.

But Brown isn't "too good" to be doing stuff like that, and he's cheap.

OT: Should be 4-5 games imo. Pretty blatantly wrong.

I don't have to address the excuses you want to make up. The video speaks for itself.

The video says 1000 words and it's beyond clear he leans forward and swings his stick into Malkin's face on purpose, THEN loses his balance and goes down.

If Staal doesn't like being hit in the head with a stick and wants to whine about it, perhaps he should consider not doing it to other players.

just curious: did you also make a thread calling for MDZ's suspension? wait, as a Rangers player, he MUST have a good reason...

go "review" that game again

talbot was being worked over by 3 red wings along side of the net with Zettenberg giving him rabbit punches until geno came to his aid

Yes and Mike Milbury calling the Penguins the dirtiest team in Hockey in the 1991 playoffs as the Bruins were deeply concerned that the big bad bruins were boy scouts. Hey mike how's Cams knee. What goes around comes around. Why don't you go back into the stands and start a fight with the fans again? Give me a break. Pens have for years played with skill and the mindset of the Canadian led NHL was we can't do that so we like having a "garage " league. Yes Ranger fans, lets slash Malkin and Crosby just like we did to Mario in the playoffs.

My god, you're onto something. Wait until a player develops the technique called a "wrist" shot. This game will be changed for ever.

What is even going on here? Did you fall into a wormhole in 1991 and suddenly reemerge last week or something?
