People don't seem to get the point of the thread.

The point isn't that Max Pacioretty gets injured like a manly man full of male manly manhood. It's just that he seems to recover very fast from the injuries that should keep him out a long time.

That's just like Patrick Roy for example: he had an appendicitis, had an operation, and if I remember correctly, played the next game in the playoffs (against the rangers?) and totally owned. It's not a question of being injury prone or anything, the OP's just saying he recovers fast!

Pacioretty did not deserve to be injured by Chara.

But his actions before that show that he might be the dumbest player in the league.

Firstly, he shoves Big Z after scoring the winning OT goal. Then in the next game, he trash talks Z.

All I can say is that there are no other NHL players stupid enough to do this.

It would be like me taunting the biggest baddest guy in my neighbourhood repeatedly, then being shocked when he attacks me.

Good player, but a complete moron.

Yeah seriously Pacioretty is more injury prone than anyone else in the league. I bet if that were anyone else hit by Chara they would have gotten right back up. And the appendectomy obviously means his body's weak.

unfortunately, you're right in the sense that SOME fans are complete idiots. But that's the same thing for every single team.

It's just that since the habs have more fans, they have more stupid ones as well.

But he did not play in the playoffs, and undoubtedly a good thing that he did not play in order to impress establishment idiots and thought about long-term viability.

Came here to post this.

Also:

Sergei Fedorov sustained a severe costochondral rib injury against Colorado in the playoffs in 1997 (IIRC) and finished the game and series with an impressive performance at both end of the ice.

Steve Yzerman's playoff PPG despite his lack of knee cartilage in 2002.

Brent Gilchrist in the 1998 playoffs.

And one not from my team, from the 2000 Cup finals:

So you're saying nobody's ever pushed Chara or trash talked him? Hockey players don't chirp 24/7? What planet do you live on?

Lol what a terrible post. You mean when Chara was in his way after he scored and he nudged him aside? And how do you know he was chirping him in the game where he had his neck broken?

And I can 100% guarantee there are players that chirp Chara all the time, it's just a part of the game! He's not exempt from it because he's a freak of nature.

People need to stop throwing around the "broken neck" card when they talk about Pacioretty's injury. It was only a non-displaced fracture in the C4 vertebrae. Don't try and make it out worse than it was.

(I say only in a relative fashion given that there is a major difference in severity between a broken neck and a non-displaced fracture)

Patches is injury prone and lazy. Maybe if he worked out his appendix and kept it in shape, it wouldn't have had to be removed.

They can't do that anymore because other fanbases are tying up the phone lines with racist tweets.

I swear Alfredsson has this shoulder injury once, was supposed to miss 4-6 weeks, missed 1-2 games.

Hi Hater.

That hit he took against Chara may have finished the careers of certain players.

An appendectomy can happen to anyone. No matter how tough and strong.

The dude is a power forward not afraid of going into the dirty areas, of course he may get hurt.
