They are playing the 1-3-1 but unlike last year the 1-3-1 now refers to how many goals they score per period.

Yes, they are.

What makes them not a real deal? Last season?

Look at the forward lines. The defensive pairings. The coach. The system. The freaking power play.

You don't average five+ goals a game in the first 8 games and you're fake.

I'm from Florida, and a Lightning fan. Having fun with the self-trolling thread, thought we were on the same page.

Not a serious cup contender yet but they're my pick to win their division.
How os Conacher suprising? It was widely projected that he would be a stud.

Well, if there is one thing us Lightning fans are good at as a group, it's self trolling...

Giving our A effort to counteract the jinx thread.

Look at the history of Lightning goaltending. Tampa is a goalie graveyard.

Never said that.

Just stated he was the AHL MVP so he has the potential. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

Right, but you can't take anything away from Conacher's performance even though he is playing with superstarts.

Vinny will be traded to Montreal before the seasons over, don't worry about that

Mathieu Garon and Lindback cant win a cup, even if they have gretzky in front of them.

Southeast is the worst division by far, I mean, Hedman in his 4th season, Salo who is so fast, as fast as Brewer, Lee is the norris candidate thus far, along with Carle who should make as much as Crosby have to shut down Ovechkin, the Staal bros., '12 SE division champs, I mean, any team could do that in such a weak division.

Tampa is far from for real. More like far from real. Pshh.

Not a chance in hell. Either too old or too young and inexperienced. Won't be long before they go on a huge losing streak and then tank for the number one pick again.

They'll fizzle. Might get into the playoffs but that is as far as they go.
