Tough call between Price and Luongo, so homer vote is always the tie breaker.

Not close? Explain to me this, then:

_____Price Luongo
2008 .920 .917
2009 .905 .920
2010 .912 .913
2011 .923 .928
2012 .916 .919
2013 .924 .944

So Price has had a better sv% once out of 6 years, and it happened over 5 years ago. Perhaps you're right, it is not close after all.

Price has so much more untapped potential. Many can argue Carey is already better than Luongo, and Price will still be getting much better. Luongo however is on the downside of his career, so it is, as a matter of fact, not close. Carey Price AINEC

Youre really going to include 2013?

Last 3 years, their numbers are pretty much the same but the Canucks have had a much better team over that same stretch...

Except the poll isn't which goalie is the most valuable, or which would you rather have, it's who's the best. And for a goalie supposedly "on the decline" Luongo sure seems to be putting on a clinic this season.

You know that the Canadiens allowed less shot per game(27) than the Canucks(28.9) did last year, right? we play a much more offensive system than the Habs which leaves our goalie out to dry more often.

Also, Luongo's ES sv% over the past 3 years is second only to Lundqvist. There's literally no argument to say Price is better than Luongo right now. Perhaps in a couple of years, when Luongo eventually does decline and if Price improves his game. But now? Laughable.

Definitely not a top 5 goalie or anything but how is Backstrom not even on the "to be added" list yet?

Nick Backstrom and Semyon Varlamov should both be added as options

Lehtonen and Price are 4 and 5.

I'm sure this poll is going to get screwed up though by homers voting for their guy.

Amount of shots doesn't show the quality of the shots. More easy shots allow Luongo to build up his save percentage.
