Missed the game. Any speculation on how he was injured?

Sharp had a great game and showed tremendous energy and effort until he went to the locker room. Hopefully it's nothing serious, and it's a good thing we have separation in the standings.

For what its worth. JJ is usually reliable.

UPDATE ON SHARP INJURY, 9:49AM Eastern:
Heard from a source this morning that Sharp has a grade 2 shoulder separation and could miss 3-6 weeks, depending on the results of an MRI. This is not confirmed by the team.

How the hell would you know the grade of the tear without a MRI? Thats precisely why you do the MRI.

Yahoo’s Nick Cotsonika is first to report Thursday morning that Patrick Sharp will miss 2-3 weeks with “an upper-body injury.”

the dreaded upper body injury!

no reason to rush Sharp back, but with the deadline coming up in the next 3 weeks...it would be nice to know for sure if we have a healthy Sharp on the ice or will we need to make a move if there is doubt about him missing time.

Sharpie's been getting a lot of good chances recently...he's just not finding a way to bury his shots like we are all used to.
